Amigues is weaponizing the fact that 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 devs/pubs do have bad practices to hide the fact that it was them & other agencies in the vast majority of cases.
She's taking our fight and trying to pretend she's part of it, which is simply disgusting.
After Diablo IV & Baldur's Gate 3, @Altagram_Group became the center of the discussion around miscrediting of game translators.
CEO Marie Amigues has embraced the "any publicity" motto, turning the ordeal into a marketing campaign, even boldly 'siding' with freelancers.
Funny how it's always the worst paying agencies that don't credit. You don't have to be afraid of losing talented freelance translators if you pay more than other agencies. #translatorsinthecredits
Let's be clear: @Altagram_Group only promises to fix their credits because @larianstudios made them do it. Until today they refuse to credit their freelancers for their work on #DiabloIV. No statement here, nothing. If they are not forced to do it, they won't do it. Nice.
"it's come to our attention"
As IF the systematic omission of translators' names has never been an integral part of many agencies' business model. They don't want to share the freelance translators' names, because they're afraid of losing clients to them. Period.
