The story of the Tree of Knowledge is about the birth of the ego.
Before eating the fruit, Adam and Eve lived in a state of pure unity.
No separation, no “I,” no self-consciousness.
They didn’t even know they were naked - because there was no self that could feel shame.
The moment they ate from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, they suddenly saw themselves as separate individuals.
Duality appeared. The ego appeared.
And with it came judgment, shame, and the sense of “me against the world.”
It was the moment humankind shifted from unity into self-awareness - a psychological awakening disguised as a biblical myth.
And the way back to paradise?
Dissolving the ego to experience that state of pure love and unity again.
On Saturday, my children and I would go to the local running and biking trail and hand out water and bars.
People were suspicious.
They'd ask "how much does it cost?" We'd say free. Then they'd ask what cause it was for. We'd say none. At this point they'd be stupefied. There must be a catch. There was no catch.
The suspicion is an appendage of a culture that prioritizes status and money. The more selfless the act looks, the harder they search for the hidden angle.
I was experimenting as a father how to teach virtue. The value of helping someone without agenda or the need to get something back.
There is science to this. It's called the overjustification effect. Give a toddler a reward for helping and afterward they help less. The reward replaces the instinct. By attaching a payoff to a good deed, you corrode the good deed.
Children are born with the instinct to help before anyone rewards them. By age two they are happier giving a treat away than receiving one, and happiest when the treat they give up is their own.
It also causes moral elevation. Watching someone help others lifts the people who are watching and makes them want to do so themselves.
We are blessed to inhabit a living miracle: a planet where consciousness dances in countless forms.
Those who pause in awe before the wonders of this Divine Life and perceive the great Intelligence weaving through every leaf, heartbeat, and forest rebirth - they walk in deep bliss, inner peace, and overflowing gratitude. 🐙🌀✨
Freedom isn’t something you find
it’s something you choose.
Choose peace over noise.
Choose curiosity over judgment.
Choose love even when it’s hard.
A free soul doesn’t run from truth
it meets it with an open heart.

I’ve often wondered whether meditation, dreams, and DMT experiences are more than just altered states of mind.
People return from these experiences describing entire lifetimes, years of memories, relationships, lessons, and journeys that unfolded within what we call minutes.
Perhaps consciousness is not limited to this reality. Perhaps there are dimensions where time flows differently, where a few moments here can contain years elsewhere.
Maybe dreams are not random stories. Maybe deep meditation is not simply relaxation. Maybe these states allow consciousness to briefly step beyond the boundaries of space and time that define our everyday world.
We assume time is constant because that is how we experience it here.
But what if that assumption is only true for this particular reality?
This is biblical.
A woman in her eighties. Ten years into Alzheimer's. Hadn't spoken a full sentence in five years.
Takes one, 5 gram dose of psilocybin.
She slept 19 hours and woke up and spoke for hours about her life, recognized family and held real conversations. She regained bladder control after five years, walked on her own. and dressed herself. Gains held for weeks.
