Subject: Urgent Call for ICC Action on Cameroon’s Atrocities in Southern Cameroons

Dear Prosecutor,@KarimKhanQC UN Secretary General @antonioguterres

We are writing to express deep concern over the International Criminal Court’s (ICC) delay and failure to investigate and indict the government of Cameroon for the atrocities committed against the people of Southern Cameroons. Despite the fact that you have now collected all the evidence needed to do so.

Both of you know the ongoing conflict has led to over 60,000 deaths and the displacement of millions, yet the ICC has taken no concrete steps to hold perpetrators accountable.

Since 2016, the Cameroonian government has waged a brutal campaign against civilians in the Anglophone regions.

Both of you are aware of the reports from human rights organizations, journalists, and international observers have documented extrajudicial killings, torture, arbitrary arrests, enforced disappearances, sexual violence, and the burning of entire villages.

Government forces and armed militias operate with impunity, targeting civilians, activists, and journalists.

The scale and systematic nature of these crimes amount to crimes against humanity and war crimes, warranting immediate ICC intervention.

The lack of accountability has emboldened the Cameroonian regime to continue its repression unchecked.

@KarimKhanQC,@antonioguterres despite numerous appeals from us and victims, civil society, and the international community, the ICC has failed to fulfill its mandate to investigate and prosecute those responsible because it has been BLOCKED BY FRANCE . Can the UN Secretary General deny or confirm this?

This inaction raises serious concerns about the Court’s commitment to impartial justice and the protection of human rights.

It is now CLEAR that we shall SUPPORT overall SANCTIONS suggested by USA on all your activities of ICC because you seem to have abetted crime under Article 70 by knowing and by ignoring the gross human Rights abuses in Southern Cameroon

We strongly urge the @KarimKhanQC @antonioguterres and ICC to:

1. Immediately open an investigation into war crimes and crimes against humanity in Southern Cameroons, including the mass killings, forced displacements, and destruction of communities.

2. Indict Cameroonian government officials and military leaders responsible for orchestrating and executing these crimes.

3. Ensure that justice is not denied to the thousands of victims who continue to suffer from this crisis.

Justice delayed is justice denied. The ICC must uphold its responsibility to prosecute those who commit mass atrocities, regardless of political influence or geopolitical interests.

The people of Southern Cameroons deserve justice, and the world is watching.

I urge you to act decisively to bring accountability and end impunity for the crimes committed against innocent civilians.

IS THE ICC ON A FISHING EXPEDITION UNDER THE COVER OF FRANCE TO REVIVE OLD WOUNDS AGAINST RWANDA?

Dear OTP @KarimKhanQC,

It is now evident that a European country—one that funds ICC salaries—has directed you to embark on a fishing expedition against President @PaulKagame and Rwandan officials by issuing warrants and indictments, despite Rwanda not being a member of the ICC.

Mr. @KarimKhanQC, why the selective justice? If your fishing expedition is truly impartial, why haven’t you pursued Paul Biya, who has been responsible for the mass murder of over 600,000 people in Southern Cameroons? Is it because France shields him at the UN Security Council (UNSC)?

It is deeply concerning that the ICC is once again being weaponized in the DRC conflict, just as Luis Moreno Ocampo used it to undermine the Uganda Peace Talks.

Your reported plan to issue warrants against Rwandan officials and M23 commanders will undermine efforts toward dialogue and a peaceful resolution. Credible intelligence indicates that the ICC is preparing indictments against Rwandan officials, even though Rwanda is not under ICC jurisdiction.

Mr. @KarimKhanQC, if your so-called commitment to justice extends beyond fishing expeditions in Africa, Ukraine, and Russia, why have you failed to issue warrants against Paul Biya, who violated international law by crossing into Nigeria, abducting 10 refugees at night, and forcefully returning them to Cameroon?

Rwanda and Cameroon are not ICC member states, yet with the backing of one UNSC power, you seek to cherry-pick Rwanda under the pretext that it crossed into the DRC, while ignoring Cameroon’s blatant crimes where it crossed over to Nigeria 🇳🇬 to kidnap 10 UN REGISTERED REFUGEES AND SENTENCED THEM TO LIFE

Mr. @KarimKhanQC, you are repeating the same mistakes as Ocampo, who rushed to issue warrants in the DRC, wrongly believing that it would bring peace. The ICC’s interventions in the DRC have only resulted in more conflict, even after convicting multiple individuals for crimes against humanity. The guns have not fallen silent, nor has the conflict been resolved.

Our regional intelligence networks have gathered evidence—both from within your office and on the ground—that a European nation is using the ICC’s Office of the Chief Prosecutor to settle historical grievances against Rwanda.

We will present this evidence in The Hague next week, where we will expose and halt this conspiracy against Rwanda.

Whatever happens to me, Museveni and his son are responsible. From yesterday, our home is being patrolled by strange men in civilian clothes who appear to be armed.
