Feels like time to call it a day on this account, so this will be my final post.

I started this piss-taking Celebration Police thing 4 years ago and it’s genuinely been great fun. Unexpectedly so.

Through this account, I’ve met and engaged with some brilliant people, built a 55k following, made a bit of money and, for the most part, enjoyed my time here.

But let’s be honest: the joke wore thin a long time ago. And i’m bored of this platform and the increasingly repetitive, shit banter that fills it.

And Arsenal have won the league, so who gives a fuck about weirdos telling you when you can or can’t be happy about the football team you invest so much of yourself in😂

Policing celebrations is about as lame as it gets. It really is😂👎🏻

When @mayordeah_ and I were in Nairobi last month, we visited Westgate Mall and to get in, I had to drive through 2 security checkpoints with sniffer dogs and retractable concrete bollards.

Then we went through an airport-style full body metal detector and a pat-down search before being allowed into the main mall. These security measures were apparently instituted after the Westgate Mall terror attack 14 years ago.

Ghana has never had a major terror attack on that scale before and I hope with everything in me that this never changes. However, there's nothing wrong with learning from Kenya's experience. Ghana is stepping into the big time now, and these are the things that come with that territory because as you exit poverty, some people somewhere get very upset.

In the next 5 years, its GDP will exceed $100bn and it will become West Africa's wealthiest country per capita, in addition to already being West Africa's geopolitical nerve centre and the country singlehandedly responsible for keeping the entire region stable.

Many times I am on the side of criticizing government for all the wrong things they do. But today, I want to give a big shout out to you and your ministry for the transformative work you’re doing. A couple of weeks ago, I applied for a passport for my sister. I filled the forms online which took less than 15 mins to do. I also made the payment online and payment was confirmed within 2 mins of completing the transaction. I was able to schedule the date for her biometrics and she was attended to within an hour and half when she got there.

I am happy to say your ministry delivered my sister’s passport in timely manner. During the wait time, I decided to put to test your ministry’s responsiveness to customers. I used the online chat and I had someone assigned to me within 10 mins of waiting (which is not bad giving my experience from advanced economies). He introduced himself as Prince Osei and was not only patient but professional in his responses. At some point, I nearly asked for his momo number to send him something as tip 😆. Please extend my commendation to him.

Although, I could track the status of her application online, I asked my sister to call the passport office line and they promptly responded to her and answered the questions she had.

What’s more exciting is that after the passport was delivered, I not only received a delivery notification via email but a link was provided to give feedback on the service. I think you check all the boxes in my book and you and your ministry represent how government ministries and institutions ought to serve Ghanaians.

I congratulate you and hope you’re using the feedback to continuously improve your services.
