There was a significant increase in fire behaviour on Timmins 9 today. It has been remapped to 1100 hectares. Aerial fire suppression was ongoing throughout the afternoon and early evening. Resources will continue to be adjusted as needed based on fire behaviour and conditions.

Newly confirmed wildland fire Sudbury 8, located southwest of Cartier near the eastern shore of Shank Lake, is estimated at 30 hectares. Three CL415 waterbombers and a lead birddog aircraft were on the scene this evening, alongside two FireRanger crews.
