I don't expect the average US teacher ($58,260) to make as much as the average pro athlete (NBA: $8.3 million, MLB: $4 million, NFL: $3.2 million, NHL: $2.6 million), but I would expect to make more than the average NBA, MLB, NFL and NHL MASCOT ($60k).

For teachers to be “All In” doesn’t mean they have to be at school til 7 every night. Doesn’t mean they need to take school work home with them every night. Doesn’t mean they need to be swamped every weekend with planning or grading. This isn’t All In, this is Burned Out.

I've had a bunch of close friends leave teaching and start working in the private sector. Without fail, every single one of them says they are less stressed, their work/life balance is better, and their mental health is better, even though some are making less money.
