Gold is absolutely fascinating.
It seems to come from nowhere — yet it’s one of the pillars of our civilization.

Wow, this is genuinely one of the best things I've read in a long time. Thank you for sharing it.
The exponential math section alone is worth rereading—it makes the path to massive outcomes feel almost inevitable once you nail product-market fit and sustain growth over time.
What really hit me was the advice to stop “hunting” for startup ideas and instead build things you and your friends actually want. That shift from overthinking to genuine obsession is where the magic happens—and where the word-of-mouth flywheel starts to take off.
The Ferrari Luce is quickly becoming the most controversial Ferrari ever. Why?
"The problem is that we are living in an era where the nostalgic approach is very high. Everybody's looking at the past, not the future..." - Ferrari Chief Designer Flavio Manzoni
"It's not that we're taking away something, but we're adding a new choice, which in some dimensions is unambiguously better. And in other dimensions you will understand them in terms of what is lacking. Perhaps it was reckless of us to do that, knowing that we will in some people's eyes be destined for failure. Tesla can build almost anything it wants at a very high level of quality while still keeping costs low. That makes them extremely difficult to compete with. Tesla is the most powerful industrial powerhouse in the automotive sector.

@GadSaad@HarperCollins@literaryeric Dear Gad, I’m really looking forward to reading your book, but in Italy it won’t be available until June 29, 2026. Is there any chance Amazon could deliver it sooner?
Beware the empathy exploit.
Empathy is good and right when thought through (deep), but can be deadly to civilization when simply stimulus-response (shallow).
For example, releasing a repeat violent offender may feel good at first (shallow empathy for the criminal), but it is wrong to do so when that person will go on to hurt or murder innocent victims, as there should be deep empathy for future victims.
