"I didn't know how I was going to get home. I didn't know how I would afford food. I didn't know if I was going to be living under a bridge next month. That was my experience racing on Zaaf."

@PeterSmedley1 @fuzzymittens Our antenatal class had an ICU consultant, an anaesthetic reg who had previously been obs/gynae, as well as a few other medics and nurses. The presenter so badly wanted to tell us how evil epidurals were, but quickly subcontracted that session to the reg.
Every day across America, trains block crossings, sometimes for hours or days, forcing kids to crawl under them to get to school.
An 8th grader has seen plenty of trains start without warning. “I don’t want to get crushed.” https://t.co/xkRHraipQY
Congratulations to @neal_katyal on his 50th argument before the Supreme Court, where he'll be representing [checks notes] a, uh, county that seized a 94-year-old woman's home, sold it, and then [squints] kept the profit for itself??? https://t.co/v2m0xY7Ep2
As a final year resident my program director sat us down & threatened to put “not a team player” our files if we didn’t agree to be on call every third night for a year *without* compensation.
@drquinngyn I feel this is missing valuable context, like hypothetically, what if the person is a Christian, and the thing that needs to be picked up is popcorn? Surely this would change things?
A reminder:
Ron DeSantis would tell dates that he liked Thai food, only he would intentionally mispronounce it 'thigh’ to see if the date would correct him.
If she did, he would find an excuse to leave because he didn’t want a girlfriend who would correct him. Even when he was obviously wrong.
That tracks doesn’t it?
Me a wheelchair user: “Can you please move your car. You’re blocking the ramp.”
Driver: “I’ll move in a couple minutes. I just want to finish eating.”
Me: “Can you move now?”
Driver: “What’s the rush?”
Me: “I’d like to cross the street.”
So few grasp the urgency of access.
