God bless these men. Their kindness and patience and love is so touching.
The complete dehumanization of Palestinian men is one of the more abhorrent parts of the Western propaganda machine.
Gaza is filled with good men who have endured the unimaginable and still they stop to comfort a scared child with smiles and hugs. God bless them.
Men are lonely because they're insufferable to be around. For one of the first times in history, women don't need men for any material security.
While there is still social pressure, women are only seeking romantic relationships with men for the emotional enrichment those men would bring to their lives. We no longer need men, they are competing solely on the basis of their character, and they're failing. That is their fault. Not women's and not feminisms.
It is unacceptable that people can be unlawfully kidnapped, whether at sea or on land, simply for trying to reach Gaza to deliver aid to a deliberately starved and besieged people. A people besieged by the same occupation force that has and continues to obliterate Gaza raining terror and bombs and massacring entire families and communities.
It is unacceptable that solidarity expressed as a humanitarian gesture to relieve and reach the people of Gaza, locked up in the world’s largest open air prison as the israeli war machine continues to ravish their lives, is criminalised.
People of all walks of life, throughout the globe, have started a hunger strike in solidarity with the 10 activists kidnapped and held as political hostages for trying to reach the people of Gaza to deliver aid, ambulances and solidarity in a world that only wants to exterminate them.
The crimes committed in Gaza are unacceptable. The criminalization of solidarity of those that refuse to watch and comply is unacceptable.
For our collective liberation, we will not stop.
Support the hunger strikers. Demand their governments to more to ensure their release. The ten political hostages come from the following countries:
Argentina
Italy
Poland
Portugal
Spain
Tunisia (resident of Canada)
United States
Uruguay

Trump lies about everything because everything is branding to him.
War is branding. Faith is branding. The flag is branding. The dead are branding. The poor are branding. Even truth is branding, not something to be found, but something to be manufactured, deployed, and abandoned when it stops performing.
He does not see the world as something to understand. He sees it as something to manipulate until it reflects admiration back at him.
That is why he can stand beside suffering and talk only about himself.
Why he can watch catastrophe unfold in real time and think first, and last, in terms of optics.
Why he can threaten whole nations, millions of lives, generations of consequences, as if he were announcing a new hotel opening.
Why the bereaved mother at the podium is a prop. Why the soldier’s coffin is a backdrop. Why the disaster zone is a photo opportunity he resents having to attend.
He is not merely immoral.
Immoral implies a relationship with morality, a knowledge of the line and a choice to cross it.
He is something emptier than that.
He is a man for whom the suffering of others has never once interrupted a single thought about himself.
And that is not incidental to why empire chose him.
Empire does not need its figureheads to be evil in the complicated, motivated sense.
Evil has convictions. Evil can be argued with.
What empire needs, in its late and rotting stage, is a man with no interior life, someone who will sign anything, threaten anyone, perform any cruelty, because performance is all there ever was.
The emptiness is not a bug.
It is the qualification.
Do you know how much PROPAGANDA it takes to convince a whole country of people that their military exists solely to keep them safe, and not to keep people around the world under their rule by destroying their homes and infrastructure while stealing their resources?
The decision to restrict the import of fiber-optic cables by the treacherous Lebanese government is being presented as a technical or security measure. It is not. To assume that during times of war is laughable. It is a political statement in support of Israel against the resistance.
At a time when parts of southern Lebanon remain under Israeli occupation, when Lebanese sovereignty continues to be violated, and when countless families in the south still live with the consequences of constant Israeli aggression, the Lebanese government has chosen to make life harder not for the occupier, but for the Lebanese themselves.
President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam owe the public an explanation. Whose interests are being served when Lebanon voluntarily restricts access to technology that has civilian, commercial, industrial, and strategic importance?
What message does this send to the people of the South who have spent decades paying the highest price whenever conflict erupts?
A government's first responsibility is to defend the interests of its own nation. Not to anticipate the wishes of foreign capitals. Not to shape policy around what might satisfy the orange clown in Washington. Not to reassure a genocidal war criminal like Benjamin Netanyahu. And certainly not to treat Lebanese citizens as a problem to be managed.
The most dangerous part is not the decision itself. It is the mindset behind it.
The belief that Lebanese people must always be the ones making concessions. Always the ones expected to surrender leverage. Always the ones asked to accept less sovereignty, less dignity, and fewer means of defending their rights.
As a Southern Lebanese woman, I look at this decision with disbelief and anger. I do not accept that a government which acts against the interests of its own people speaks in my name.
It never represented my convictions. Today, it represents them less than ever.
Aoun and Salam should be reminded daily thay history rarely remembers those who bowed under pressure. It remembers those who defended their people, their dignity, and their country's right to make its own decisions.
Lebanon deserves leaders who answer first to Lebanon.
Being upset at a woman for choosing to end a pregnancy because of a disability diagnosis in a country without universal healthcare, childcare, reliable public transportation, or livable wages is an INSANE take.
And while we’re talking about it, the fetus didn’t know it was aborted. People are acting like they carried to term, gave birth, saw the child had Down syndrome, then decided to chuck it out the window..
A primary reason for the US Revolution was that colonists wanted to steal land in the West but were banned by the Crown (imagine making the British Empire look tempered).
It wasn't just some rosy fight for civil liberties. Fundamentally, the US is a settler-colony like Israel.
I'm a cardiologist. A 42-year-old mother of two came to my office complaining of jaw pain and crushing fatigue. She ran half-marathons. Her EKG was normal. Another doctor had sent her home with anxiety medication.
When I got her into the cath lab, I found severe microvascular disease — plaque choking the tiniest vessels of her heart, the ones standard angiograms routinely miss.
Her heart had been starving in silence while everyone told her she was stressed.
She is alive today. Too many women like her are not.
Heart disease kills more women than every cancer combined. And medicine is still diagnosing it through a male lens.
84% of cardiologists report having patients in the past year whose heart disease was misdiagnosed by another physician. Women with a STEMI heart attack have a 59% greater chance of being misdiagnosed compared to men. Women with an NSTEMI — 41% greater chance.
The reason is structural. For decades, we screened, tested, and treated women using a template built for men.
Men's heart attacks announce themselves — the crushing chest pain, the clutched fist, the Hollywood collapse. Women's hearts whisper. Crushing fatigue that feels like wearing a lead vest. Jaw pain written off as TMJ. Nausea blamed on a stomach bug. An ache between the shoulder blades blamed on a long week. Shortness of breath blamed on being out of shape.
For years, medicine called these "atypical" symptoms. They are not atypical. They are female-typical. Half of humanity is not a variant.
And the biology runs deeper than symptoms.
Women have smaller hearts and narrower coronary arteries. Plaque doesn't only clog the big highway vessels — it hides in the microvasculature, the tiny branches feeding the heart muscle itself. A woman can have a heart attack with a completely "clean" standard angiogram.
SCAD — spontaneous coronary artery dissection — occurs 90% of the time in women. Often young, fit women with zero traditional risk factors. It's the leading cause of heart attack in women under 50, accounting for roughly one quarter of all cases in that age group. Most doctors have never diagnosed one.
And some of the most dangerous cardiac risk factors are hidden in women's medical histories where no one thinks to look:
Preeclampsia or gestational hypertension doubles to quadruples lifetime heart disease and stroke risk. Pregnancy is the body's first cardiac stress test — and these complications are early warning sirens, not closed chapters.
Autoimmune disease — lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis — far more common in women, turbocharges inflammation and plaque formation at any age.
Cardiovascular disease in women aged 20-44 is projected to surge nearly 50% by 2050.
The youngest patients in my practice keep getting younger.
What every woman should ask her doctor — and what every doctor should be asking:
"Given my pregnancy history, autoimmune status, and family history — what is my full cardiovascular risk?" If they don't ask about preeclampsia or gestational diabetes, volunteer it.
"Should I have an Lp(a) test and a coronary calcium score?" Standard cholesterol panels miss too much. Lp(a) is genetic, one-time, and most women have never been tested.
"My tests came back normal but my symptoms haven't stopped — what's next?" Normal stress tests and angiograms can miss microvascular disease, spasm, and SCAD. Persistent symptoms warrant coronary CT angiography or cardiac MRI.
And if something feels wrong — say these exact words to your doctor: "I am concerned this could be my heart."
That single sentence changes the workup. Do not soften it. Do not apologize for it.
80% of heart disease is preventable. But the playbook has to be built for female biology.
Two decades ago, I wrote one of the first books warning that heart disease was the number one killer of women and that medicine was diagnosing it through a male lens. It was recognized by First Lady Laura Bush at the White House during the early years of the national conversation about women's heart health.
I'm haunted by how much of that book I could republish today unchanged.
The science has advanced. The awareness has grown. But the gap between what we know and what happens in the exam room is still costing women their lives.

The United States arrests 60,000 pregnant women a year. The most you get in my state is an extra sandwich at lunch and dinner. Adult women’s prisons are subject to MUCH MORE oversight than the juvenile system which is NOT centralized and is a total free for all.
Immigration detention is the same. They move these girls around in transfers to keep them from their right to seek an abortion to conceal the rapes.
The FBI had to raid and shutdown a prison to get the rapes to stop. That is our justice system in America.
Women have suffered horrific violence from men for centuries. In the early 1070s my sister, then still a child, phoned the police because as usual my father was beating my mother so violently we feared she would be killed. The neighbours knew what went on. The entire street knew what went on in our house. When the police arrived my father put his hands round my mother's throat and said he would kill her if we made a sound. We did not make a sound. After knocking for maybe 5 minutes the police left. They never knocked on any of our neighbours doors to try to establish if a crime was being committed. My sister knew then that there was no where to turn to get help. It seems not much has changed.
Keep in mind, that while all this is happening, not once did Israel stop bombing Gaza.
NOT ONCE.
Massacres are happening as we speak.
The genocide is still ongoing.

It’s almost never a scary man jumping out of the shadows
It’s your husband. Your boyfriend. Your coworker. Your friend. Your relative.
That’s the problem.
It is suffocating how thoroughly billionaires are destroying life on earth, from murdering the people of Palestine and Sudan and Lebanon and Cuba, to hunting immigrants, to destroying ecosystems and lands and wildlife populations. Just endless destruction
Reminder that until the 1960s, men could commit troublesome wives and daughters to mental hospitals, and have them lobotomized without their consent.
Women were lobotomized for being menopausal, or anxious, or even for nagging, and were almost never informed as to the profound changes the procedure would cause. 60-80% of lobotomy victims were women, even though men were more likely to be committed to asylums, but by doctors, and for mental illness, rather than - in multiple instances - by cheating husbands who found a lobotomized wife preferable to the risk of divorce and alimony payments.
Victims lost adult mental function, creativity, and the abilities to problem-solve and care for themselves…but hey, they weren’t anxious any more, and most importantly, they’d stopped nagging, so this appalling medical abuse was written down as a win.
Gaza is taking its last breaths, and the situation we have reached is extremely dangerous.
Temperatures are rising to suffocating levels, and the tents where hundreds of thousands live have turned into ovens made of fabric and plastic. There is no electricity, no air conditioning, no fans, no cold water. People try to sleep, but heat, hunger, and fear make sleep seem like an impossible dream.
Clean water is scarce, cleaning supplies are almost nonexistent, and essential medicines are unavailable. Skin diseases are spreading in a terrifying way among children and adults, while garbage piles up and sewage mixes with displacement areas, spreading even more suffering.
Long lines form for food, yet many return empty handed. Aid is decreasing, and most relief centers have stopped or are no longer able to meet even the minimum needs.
At night, rats, insects, snakes, and scorpions crawl into the tents, while during the day people face unbearable heat and endless hunger. There is no safety, no privacy, and nowhere to go. Meanwhile, killings and destruction continue daily, while Gaza’s space shrinks day by day, forcing people into smaller and more overcrowded areas.
This is not life. This is not displacement. This is a complete collapse of everything that allows human beings to live with dignity.
What more is the world waiting for? How many children must go hungry? How many patients must die before the world acts? Do not stay silent. Speak about Gaza. Share what is happening.
Crazy that this is getting barely any coverage. This year’s European Press Prize was just awarded to an investigative report by the Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant. It is entitled “What the Wounds Tell” and in it the journalists Maud Effting and Willem Feenstra document the cases of 114 children in Gaza under the age of 15 who were struck by a single bullet to the head or chest. Almost all of them died or were left severely disabled. They chose to document only the cases of boys and girls under the age of 15 (though often much younger: aged 3, 4 or 7) because these are children who can be immediately identified as such. “A single bullet in these parts of the body is a clear indication that these children were deliberately targeted“, the two journalists write.

When Europeans steal a country they name themselves after it.
Israelis claim to be "Semites" despite being European
Colonists claim they're "Americans" while reducing real Americans to "Indians"
Boers claim they're "Afrikaners"
Identity theft is a huge part of colonialism.
I just heard the @BBC radio say that the Israeli army was attacking Hezbollah targets yesterday & they also platformed someone bloviating about how Iran is ‘occupying’ Lebanon.
As a frontline journalist on the ground for the last 18 months, I would like to reiterate that I have not see any Iranian occupation bases in Lebanon. I have not seen any children killed here by Iranian bombs. I haven’t seen the IRGC massacring entire families on a daily basis. The IRGC has not shot at me or killed dozens of my colleagues in targeted attacks. Iran has not been systematically murdering healthcare workers (over 130) in Lebanon.
Israel has violently invaded and occupied Lebanon. The flag flying over the base in Al Khiam is an Israeli flag, not an Iranian flag. (Photo below)
The Lebanese Ministry of Health yesterday reported that 3,613 civilians have been killed and 11,072 have been wounded in Israeli attacks since March 2nd.
