@MEOW5CARADA Frustratingly, Jax being trans sort of correlates transness as the secret behind Jax’s abusive behaviour, and that reinforces harmful stereotypes of trans women being violent or aggressive. Still, the bow, the ‘ironic’ dress, the F slur, it all reads as internalised transphobia

@MEOW5CARADA I 100% agree, Jax is very explicitly a misogynist and an abuser, and putting those traits on a transfem character seems unwise and hurtful for IRL transfem people in the audience to have to watch. That being said, I do feel Jax being trans was what Goose intended from the finale

@WilliamJay83920 @ragyattha It’s stated earlier in the episode that Jax lost her relationship with her father, and her final abstraction in that scene is her coming to terms with who she is. I think her finally looking at herself as her dad should have (a loved girl shaped by those parents) is pretty apt.

Does anyone know what dates the TGWDLM M&Gs are? I’m sure there’s a masterlist somewhere but I couldn’t find it before buying tickets the first time and I imagine I’ll struggle similarly before even considering looking for any ones on resale now

@starryfixation I feel the exact same way (so v hypocritical of me to say) but it’s never too late! Theatre isn’t exclusive to people who grew up in the right spaces, and if there aren’t any spaces around you, then the community needs someone like you to make them! 🩵

Finally back in Manchester after getting to see TGWDLM twice over opening weekend; I may already be trying to figure out how to make it back in time for closing weekend 👀 Also if anybody knows of any M&G tickets going (/what dates M&Gs are) or is planning on going then, lmk!

@starryfixation I can’t even imagine! MCR->LDN is only affordable because of the coaches; the train costs alone from Wales must be extortionate 😭 And yeah, hotels are just as tough, I understand supply and demand but please hotel owners just take pity on us 🥺
