Most small shops send one or two rushed Black Friday emails on Thanksgiving night.
We write the whole run: 8 emails + 6 texts over two weeks, in your shop's voice, ready in 48h.
Judge the writing first: get a free subject line + opening at https://t.co/ScXgUeHfdT
@umzrs Agree. On Black Friday weekend one real deadline (ship-by for Christmas, or midnight with the time zone) beats a countdown on every email.
Once the list clocks that every "ends in 3 hours" was fake, the real Cyber Monday last call stops working too.
@maxwellcopy For a small shop list, 2–4 a day is a lot unless each email is short and the offer is the whole point.
I'd rather see early access, Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday, and a last call — each under a screen — than eight near-duplicates.
@IdrisEcom_email Small shops can steal the ranking step without a year of tests: open last Nov–Dec Shopify orders, sort by margin, and build the Black Friday emails around those products first.
The offer calendar still matters. Write it in October.
@umzrs For small shops with a list: if you already emailed an early sitewide cut, save Black Friday for early access and a tighter offer, not another 25% on everything.
Buyers who already spent in October won't open the same discount again in November.
@joshelizetxe Same idea on the email side: lead with what's new or back in stock before you lead with a percent off.
A product that already sells at full price doesn't need 40% in the subject line. Put the deep offer on the slow movers.
@Hostway And Black Friday is the week that list pays off. Even a few hundred subscribers is worth a planned run: early access, Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday, last call.
@AlphaStarla That browse-now, buy-later gap is why an early-access email works for Etsy sellers with a newsletter.
Tell your list the day before Black Friday that they get first pick. It gives the browsers a reason to come back.
@Temitayo102 Good list. I'd add one under "Email flows": write the Black Friday campaign itself this month.
Plenty of small shops have their flows set up, then write the actual sale emails on Thanksgiving night.
@IdrisEcom_email For small shops with no Klaviyo history: open last Nov-Dec in your Shopify orders instead.
Which products sold without a discount? Put those in the Black Friday emails, and keep the deepest offer for the slow movers.
@ecomchasedimond Black Friday makes this worse: the site says 25% off, the popup still promises 10%, and the welcome email arrives with the smaller code.
Small shops: swap the popup and welcome email to the sale offer the morning it starts, then switch them back after Cyber Monday.
