@damnhesabum @echotrx Most of the shit from 2019-2023 just go listen

[Frisbee Disc Guy @FrisbeeGolf12]

@Albatro14846242 @regularaugust Is a painting by a painter unethical? A book? How about pottery? What are you talking about

[Frisbee Disc Guy @FrisbeeGolf12]

@QsamaBJohnston Racist ass post

[Frisbee Disc Guy @FrisbeeGolf12]

@DougiePJones @iycrtylph I think his motives complement each other rather than contradict. But it’s a very messy and complicated situation. I said in a post soon after I saw it that every character in the movie can both be viewed as predator and the exploited.

[Frisbee Disc Guy @FrisbeeGolf12]

@DougiePJones @iycrtylph Yes, I saw it earlier this past week. I disagree with you a bit. I think as the movie goes on CH’s motives intensify both ways. He cares a lot about the whale because of the ratings, but he will justify exploiting Dan who is clearly uncomfortable by using his morals as a shield

[Frisbee Disc Guy @FrisbeeGolf12]

@DougiePJones @iycrtylph Okay, that’s a bit different from what that person said to me. I’m a little confused on how it’s contradictory. Couldn’t the character use their self-righteousness as a justification for the exploitation in an effort to gain status and soothe their insecurities?

[Frisbee Disc Guy @FrisbeeGolf12]

@DougiePJones @iycrtylph Cowardly is an interesting word for it; someone close to me said the same thing. Can I hear your thoughts of why you felt that way?

[Frisbee Disc Guy @FrisbeeGolf12]

@aaronmichael_j Hmmm… now I’m very interested to see it

[Frisbee Disc Guy @FrisbeeGolf12]

@bierman00 @WrestleOps @guardian And to clarify, I’m only speaking of cena’s personal relationship to him. I’m not saying WWE as a company should normalize his presence again. But I truly believe even someone like Vince deserves love and support in their life as well as honest accountability.

[Frisbee Disc Guy @FrisbeeGolf12]

@bierman00 @WrestleOps @guardian When you are really close to someone you are closer to the complexities of their humanity. You see the bad and the good. Loving someone who has done an awful lot of bad is not a bad thing. In fact, it can help lead them down a path of rehabilitation and healing.

@PleaseNoLemons @Stinkiepeet @2aQueer @amazonmilkfrog I dont know what is positive representation in a neocolonial hyper-capitalist state. I would defer that discussion to Native Americans. I do however feel like mascotization is entirely harmful with nothing to be gained.

We can start with reparations, free healthcare, college etc

[Frisbee Disc Guy @FrisbeeGolf12]

@Damaxscus @howisallowed @amazonmilkfrog I think this has more to do with macfarlanes racist ass than the browns but I’m open to changing my mind

[Frisbee Disc Guy @FrisbeeGolf12]

@PleaseNoLemons @Stinkiepeet @2aQueer @amazonmilkfrog 1.Erasing them does not look like correcting FSU’s mistake. They arent a mascot. Erasing them looks exactly how it does now.

2.The tribe does not represent every tribe member, nor every indigenous person affected. Appeal to authority fallacy.

3. Strawman fallacy

[Frisbee Disc Guy @FrisbeeGolf12]

@Stinkiepeet @2aQueer @amazonmilkfrog Because the United States conducted a genocide against them and US institutions have a long history of purposefully using stereotypes, tropes, and imagery to flatten a still real and deeply complex group of people into caricatures of themselves. It’s an extension of a genocide

[Frisbee Disc Guy @FrisbeeGolf12]

@howisallowed @amazonmilkfrog I think ur trolling but if not it’s named after a person with the last name of brown

[Frisbee Disc Guy @FrisbeeGolf12]

@2aQueer @amazonmilkfrog Still racist as shit

[Frisbee Disc Guy @FrisbeeGolf12]

@SMB_Attorney Why even write this

[Frisbee Disc Guy @FrisbeeGolf12]

@StephF342242 @cptdankkk Respectfully you have no idea what you are talking about

[Frisbee Disc Guy @FrisbeeGolf12]

@Variety What’s wrong with pro wrestling

[Frisbee Disc Guy @FrisbeeGolf12]

Everyone in the movie can both be viewed as a predator and a victim at the same time and I think that makes a lot of people rightfully uncomfortable

[Frisbee Disc Guy @FrisbeeGolf12]

Most of the PrimeTime discussion is filled with people grappling with the idea that the world and the people in it is not black and white and I try to remind myself to give people grace for that
