@wagssid@CrossingBroad He'd have told you how him, Guy Rogers, Hal Greer and "Dip" played soccer as kids in West Philly using milk cartons as goals and how Dip could have been better than Pele if he decided to play full time.
@wagssid@CrossingBroad In The Living Room! 4 hours of discussion about Johnny "The Blade" Sample, Tee Parham, Chet Walker, 28th and Diamond, Freddy Carter and how Wilt Chamberlain could have been an All-Star in baseball, football, hockey, boxing and skiing simultaneously.
@LesBowen No matter what you think of the substance of what Pelley said, he's still just an employee. No one could expect to keep his/her job if they acted the way he did towards his boss in a staff meeting.
@TeeTimesPub Huh? Rahm (correctly)says there’s no way to prepare Caleb for the USO. You say the “guidance” of Rahm & Hatton will help him. The “mentorship” thing is overrated in golf b/c it’s such an individual sport & each players swing/process is so unique & so much depends on “feel”
@Luke_Elvy At the end of the day most important number is the $76M (not including the signing bonus). Dude has made multi-generational wealth and doesn’t have to work another day in his life, all before age 30. That’s a winner in anyone’s book.
@NUCLRGOLF He’s a fool bc getting into the USO (which he would’ve had he won the playoff to be one of the alternates) and making the cut would’ve gotten him far more DPWT than he would’ve got for his T23 at the Soudal Open.
@LIVGolfBuff He’s a dope but he did say in the article that he’s thankful for the generational wealth and how the $ took a lot of the pressure of his golf career after LIV that many young pros face.
@natoon0@jerichsen66@Robopz You forgot to add the most important factor in playing a FS event - the 2 year exemption and entry into SEs if he wins. Won't be easy for him to get into bigger events next year b/c of how he's getting his card unless he kills it early in the season.
@flushingitgolf Smyth is playing well, but why him instead of Jeongwoo Ham?
-Ham is leading the Int. Series OOM (Smyth is 2nd)
- Both have been been call ups in 1 event this year. Ham finished T21. Smyth finished T49
- Not that it should matter, but Ham in Korean, and the event is in S. Korea
@jerichsen66@natoon0@Robopz I know he’s in the Scottish Open and surely he’ll play the BMW PGA & a few Back 9 events plus the R2D playoffs. I also wonder if he’ll get a few sponsor invites to fall season PGAT events once his suspension is up in August.
@jerichsen66@natoon0@Robopz True. Perhaps he realized the error and adjusted accordingly. Plus, as he gets older, he may be figuring out a new schedule to keep peak performance.
