My dad’s condition got worse so we took him to emergency. The man on the next bed was having a cardiac arrest. The doctors told the family that they need to shift him to the ICU urgently but the family said they will take him to a government hospital as they cannot afford private hospital’s ICU. The ambulance got there after 1 and half hour and until then he only had an oxygen mask which he kept removing In unconsciousness. His son wasn’t there because he was arranging ambulance so I tried putting his mask on, I called the nurses so many times but they didn’t pay attention to him because “yeh ja rhy hain yahan se ab yeh hmare patient nahi” i saw his vitals getting worse during this time. My heart is so heavy thinking about his family who had to go through all this just because they didn’t have money. I wish doctors and nurses behaved a little empathetic towards them even if he was not their patient anymore. They were free at that time because it was early morning. I believe empathy is so so so important for patients and their family members because it literally keeps you sane during that hard time. I hope he’s fine now because he wasn’t breathing when the ambulance arrived. If you’re a doctor or from medical staff, please I beg you to treat everyone equally, even those who can’t afford your treatment. It’s a request. My dad’s doctors are really nice and kind and I swear their kind behaviour keeps me sane.

@asiyaansar بے شک یہ ایک معلوماتی آرٹیکل ہے لیکن بحیثیت عوام میرا سوال بس یہ ہے کہ چاند کی پیدائش، اس کا دورانیہ وغیرہ صرف رمضان اور عید کے موقع پر ہی ایشو کیوں بنتا ہے۔ باقی مہینے رویت ہلال لمیٹی کا فوری فیصلہ سامنے آتا ہے نیز سعودی چاند سے مشروط بھی نہیں ہوتا۔

@asiyaansar مجھے یاد ہے بچپن میں میری دادی مجھے کھجلہ پھینی کھانے کی اس لیے تلقین کرتی تھیں کہ دودھ میں موجود چکنائی سے گلا خشک نہیں ہوتا۔ میری ہر سحری میں یہ لازم و ملزوم ہے وجہ یہ بھی ہے کہ یہ سوغات صرف رمضان میں ہی دست یاب ہے۔
