@easypoliticsUK Telling children it's not safe to go to school then expecting them to go back and thrive is crazy. I grew up in the 80s, where at least 60% of families only had one working parent. It's not the working from home, it's the lack of resources for schools to deal with the trauma.

@coreymutter @soren_iverson I worked out my annual Amazon bil land give 10% of it to charity - my way of atoning for the sins of Amazon. If we're in, we always offer delivery drivers a drink, something to eat and the option to use our facilities. They rarely take us up, but do comment that it's appreciated.

@LockFarm @RetroBrothers @bobbyllew @amedeo_felix If you don't drive that much, then car ownership becomes questionable. No-one is questioning that we should drive less. The argument is when we do drive, to drive cars that will last well, and EVs have that sewn up.

@LockFarm @RetroBrothers @bobbyllew @amedeo_felix That is missing that 300k over 11 years is not taxi miles, and whilst it is certainly higher than average, my point was simply that car still has enormous economic life left in it. Electric cars with 300k are not teetering on the edge of worthless with high maintenance bills.

We have a mate who's a drinking liability. We've been 'reverse-spiking' him for years. We get him a non-alcho pint, tell him its some beer he hasn't heard off. Only works because he's tight. Not sure about the ethics, but our nights are so much better when we do it.

My wife made a cake with dice decorations on it for my Yahtzee mad son. She made sure the number positions on the dice were accurate to real dice, something I thought @standupmaths would approve of 😁
