My goal is simple, I want $10 million. So I read and study what the millionaires do. Now this is my first time reading this classic and it was amazing. I read it ebook from my library and knew I had to add it to my bookshelf.
DeAndre Hopkins says managing his wealth has become just as important as earning it.
After seeing teammates lose millions by trusting the wrong financial advisers, the NFL star now takes finance classes at Clemson during the offseason to better understand investing, business, and protecting his money.
I have to buy the physical copy, for fear they may ban books one day. I know this is an old book but the space I’m at in life currently made it speak to me. I’m a blue collar guy, but my interest is in finance, and this cements my belief that I can be wealthy too #millionaire
Everyone seems to have all the answers, but few have the money and success. Many years ago, I woke up one morning; I looked into the mirror and I ask myself a very important question: if you're so smart, why aren't you rich? That was the day I started shutting my mouth and listening carefully to those who had more success than me. Because the truth was - at that point - I wasn't that smart yet. But I had to get my ego out of the equation. Then my life changed profoundly.
#random while listening to Nipsey Hussle’s Blue Laces 2 and the events that happened today made me think: he had a team who was willing to listen and put the work in, I don’t mind being the spook but damn getting the horse to drink the water is tough even with the proof.
Howling Dark is good to me, it’s gives me, young man who wants to be a politician and discovers he’s meant to be a knight sort of vibes. Some ppl say it’s hard to get through and that may be because of all the talking, but I found it built a solid foundation. #suneater#reread
I’m someone who actually reads about leadership, so I picked this up thinking I’d get some insights on how to be a better leader, and I did. It wasn’t in the form I’d imagined tho, this book is about the important of reading books, and the benefits gained by reading, still good.
I was listening to Mr. Marlowe’s story, written by Christopher Ruocchio. It’s very interesting, the guy went from high society to slumming with rats in the alleyways, then basically to middle class. He asked did I want to continue this story and I have agreed to do so, join us.
My reading has slowed down a bit lately, life has become a little fast paced like this book. This is a great book two for me. I can’t wait to reread it to get a better grasp on what all is going on in the different worlds.
@IslingtonJames has done it again with his epic sifi fantasy #TheStrenghtOfTheFew. Usually book twos fall into a rut, but not this one. Who knew one character could grow in so many ways and experience so much pain, can’t wait for book three, and a reread of this great tale.
RIP Sam Greenlee, also RIP Nipsey, I heard about this book from the @breakfastclubam interview, but just got to reading/finishing it. This book made me think about what I’m chasing. I realize I respect both sides of Freedom’s journey, and see the myself fighting those battles.
Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me. Bullshit, maybe not physically but words are a form of control, and that control can sway a mob to stone you, or you to do something you never thought you would. This is a great read and I will reread. #book#art
I tried, this was my second go at it and it would not catch my attention. Yeah, it had some decent scenes from what I remember but I just didn’t get connected enough to care most of the time. Guess I’ll circle back in a few years and it’ll probably grow on me, but for now, no.
I wasn’t expecting to listen to this again, but it’s basically a comfort read for me now, we all know @orsonscottcard classic #EndersGame series, and if not do yourself a favor and read it.
I went into this book thinking it’d probably be cool to read up on games inmates play, and kinda learned I have done a few myself. I also learned be careful how you say things and always be on point.
Just finished @misterkristoff Empire of the Vampire series. While I have my aversions, I have to put it up there with The Stormlight Archives for me, meaning these books will get you back into a reading spirits, Highly recommended reading, great storytelling. #vampires#empires
