A Historic Commitment to Water Security

Since the formation of Andhra State in 1953, drinking water infrastructure has been built across the State over several decades. By 2024, excluding Telangana, this included:

♦️ 816 MLD of Water Treatment Plant capacity
♦️ 1,072 OHBRs
♦️ 28,086 OHSRs
♦️ 1,18,200 km of pipelines

Now, under the leadership and special initiative of Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Shri @PawanKalyan Garu, the Jal Jeevan Mission–Amarajeevi Jaladhara is set to create, in just the next five years:

♦️ 1,426 MLD additional Water Treatment Plant capacity
♦️ 494 additional OHBRs
♦️ 13,075 additional OHSRs
♦️ 77,243 km of additional pipelines

This means creating 46% to 175% additional infrastructure over the existing base, in a single five-year period.

This is not just a project. This is a commitment.

A commitment to water security. A commitment to every household. A commitment to the future of Andhra Pradesh.
