Today is the @UN Public Service Day, celebrating the value and virtue of the public service, and more importantly the public servants themselves! The recent crises we have been experiencing highlight how fundamental the public service is to a well-functioning society.
On this International Women's Day, a reminder that there is still much to do to reach gender parity in the public service. I had made a short thread a few months ago about what is behind these numbers: https://t.co/kk8EpAgXlq #InternationalWomensDay
Who holds decision-making #leadership positions in governments?
Senior public servants are still mostly male in the majority of OECD countries.

Would « the Great Resignation » we hear more and more about be a (1) temporary phenomenon and (2) linked to the welfare state in place during the crisis?
An interesting perspective by Paul Krugman in this piece: https://t.co/oEkYzQfHRZ
Virtual world conquest as a stealth assessment of real skills: Business school students who are good players of Civilization V also turn out to be better planners, organizers, and problem-solvers, in this small proof-of-concept experiment. https://t.co/Dz57nVMSgS
Interesting, but the question seems here to be more about the type of online teaching rather than online teaching as a whole. A pre-recorded video won’t have the same outcome as an interactive platform. Ultimately it could be about how to make the most of digital tools.
