@willsmith This thread from @dmofengineering is already having problems rendering. I think that'd be an amazing way to take it all down.

Oh, I'm so, so, so glad my school mascot is already the Eagles (although I still think the Toads would have been better). There's gonna be some real fun BOE meetings coming up around the state.
NYSED today issued guidance reiterating the Department is opposed to the use of Native American mascots and directing all districts to retire any such mascots by the end of the 2022-23 school year. https://t.co/39RzB5fZMf
@mbloomstein It's real, we're having a capital vote next month - https://t.co/wlf5QfMet8 - the building is almost 100 years old and needs some attention, or we will have to bulldoze it.
@blainsmith @dogboystudios Certainly not until industries move. Microsoft, Sony, proctor and gamble. the starting power of Twitter was "you can talk to Lucky the Leprechaun or the girl from wendies!". Nothing yet has that draw.
@hankgreen There's a lot of noise here about left vs. right. The issue is it's all made up of people, and people have lost the ability to feel compassion and empathy for each other. This isn't a "points for our side thing"; this is something awful happened, and we should feel for them.
I expect the focus will now be shattered, and it will be knee jerk reaction after knee jerk reaction, until it all melts down and is sold to Verizon for some insane amount of money. Then, two years later, Verizon will sell it for pennies. (see Tumblr, AOL, Yahoo).
Here's what I know about Twitter. I've never paid for it with real money, and I never will. It's now been saddled with a cartoonish amount of debt, that it can never recover from, and is going to be guided by a man who regularly over-promises and under-delivers.
