JAWS on Chromium says "menu", on FF says "has pop up".
NVDA says "sub menu" no matter what the value of haspopup.
Narrator says "has pop up" on Chromium but announces nothing on FF.

@feather Yep, you can set it to dialog, listbox, menu, tree, or grid. If you just do aria-haspopup="true" it's the equivalent of aria-haspopup="menu".

I see ="true" all the time in auditing, even for new-build apps.

@feather Ahh, aria-haspopup. The ARIA 1.1 spec changed the rules for it (https://t.co/8i5A8jB2yl). It's no longer meant to be used for generic "has a pop-up" content. aria-haspopup=true" is now the equivalent to a value of "menu". Try it out in VoiceOver - you'll hear "menu".

@gnvkmom It's…okay. Not amazing. I've yet to find a film I'd want to watch. I'm not into all the superhero things they own now and the rest is, well, not my thing. It's great for binging all the classic Simpsons episodes. If there's a 30-day free trial, that's worth doing.

@dpj75 Indeed it is :) He’s in all kinds of bands and plays shows with them. This felt a little surreal though. He’s produced the latest Eyelids album, which is great, is a member of Filthy Friends who I’ve seen live, and worked on the last First Aid Kit album which is amazing.
