For me, the score of our 12th and final @daytonatortugas game of the year is irrelevant because @Tyler_Step22 came up to @FsuBailey12 postgame and gave him a pair of batting gloves and sleeve! It’s been so much fun following him this season. Such a great guy. ⚾️🐢
Just an amazing run by the Rays - 1.1% chance to make WS at start of the season & picked to finished last in the AL East - ended up exceeding every expectation I had for them.
Winning the AL in a season right after my Seahawks won the Super Bowl is something I’ll never forget.
You love a team win or lose. The seasons are short, but the passion is endless.
2026 did not end the way we wanted it to, but it was a hell of a ride—one not many saw coming.
From the triumphant return to the Trop and a summer full of fun baseball to a playoff run that culminated in another AL East title and pennant.
Our time will come and it’s going to be worth the wait. And I can’t wait to celebrate with each and every one of you.
Today and everyday, it’s always #RaysUp and #ForTampaBay
Drew Rasmussen's 2026 postseason:
28.2 IP
31 K
5 BB
2.20 ERA
2.47 FIP
Lowest ERA by a Rays SP in a single postseason (min. 20 IP):
Drew Rasmussen (28.2 IP): 2.20
Charlie Morton (20 IP): 2.70
James Shields (25 IP): 2.88
If that’s his last outing of the year, what an amazing season for Bryan Baker.
41 regular season saves. 1.44 ERA.
10 postseason innings. 0 runs allowed.
One of the best relief pitching seasons in Rays history.
Obviously I’m sad, but I’m incredibly proud of this Rays team.
They were unanimously picked to tail their division, only to claim an AL-best 98 wins, an AL East title, and an AL Pennant before falling to the undeniably best team in baseball.
Incredible season.
@DanTheGOAT90 And if they didn’t use him tonight and lost, everyone would be second-guessing that decision. Ras wanted the ball - I’m good with it, win or lose
Ken Rosenthal: “was it important to win one just to show you’re on this level?”
I’m so glad Taylor Walls laughed and told him it was disrespectful.
Rosenthal knows what he was asking.
We get it - the MLB media thinks the Brewers are amazing!
#RaysUp
@TBRaysCentral I assume it’s Matz to start and then a bunch of cobbling. I think Ras would have started on 3 days rest if he hadn’t had so many arm surgeries in the past
