Heroes are (generally) boring, flat and non polarising — so that everyone can find themselves in them

Villains are (generally) high conviction, more detailed and VERY polarising — so that we all find something we admire in them. Otherwise you just dont care about them.

This is not stockholm syndrome. This is just the dynamics of good literature. Its not some grand social tell, its v basic psychology.

Ps- Ive not seen the movie.
