5th grade ELA/SS teacher, mom of five kids, wife. My vision is for my students to be engaged in the learning process, never give up, and believe in themselves.
Been laying low the past month, enjoying the summer; the hustle and bustle; and helping my adult children๐ฎ prepare for their adventures. Now I am super pumped for the school year and my new path as a 5th grade ELA/SS teacher ๐. #Blessed

@PaulONeill1972 A2: I think my favorite class was my History Seminar. It was a lot of work! But it was a lot of fun researching, planning my presentation; and tying in my new technology skills. I created an interactive game; and interactive power point presentation. #pln365
@PaulONeill1972 A1: Do not be offended by constructive criticism. Your professors may seem harsh but they are there to teach you and prepare you for your career. Also communicate w/ and form a relationship with your professors. They are there to help, do not be afraid to go to them.
Kids will remember very few rules and procedures from their first days of school, but they surely will remember whether or not they feel safe, comfortable, and welcomed by their teacher.
Focus on relationships before rules.

@PaulONeill1972 I try to remind myself, no matter what I am going through, there is somebody who could have it worse; and that helps me put things into perspective.
@PaulONeill1972 I think when we go through tough experiences in life it teaches us what we are are truly made of. But, also I think our experiences can benefit others later on, in our path because it creates compassion and empathy for others. And you exemplify that everyday! #pln365
@PaulONeill1972 A4. I guess for me, my biggest feat was 14 yrs ago; picking myself up after an abusive situation n messy divorce and raising my 3 kids, working full time and pursuing my degree in education. Found an inner strength i didnt know I had. #pln365
@PaulONeill1972 Self confidence gives a person the freedom to share their expertise with others that they know will benefit them. Lack of confidence keeps those ideas locked up, even though there is evidence of success because a person who lacks confident has self doubt. #pln365
