This is where Vegas has to draw the line.
Two Strip showgirl impersonators were arrested after this brawl near Flamingo. Police say the case involves battery and obtaining money under false pretenses. TMZ reports the confrontation began after tourists were being pressured for money.
Here’s what every Vegas tourist should know:
You do NOT automatically owe a street performer money because they appear in your photo or video.
LVMPD specifically says tourists are not obligated to pay or donate money to street characters or performers.
Now, be fair. If you stop a performer and ask her to pose with you, tip her. They’re working.
But if someone is walking around in feathers on a public Strip sidewalk and ends up in your camera, that doesn’t suddenly become a $20, $50 or $100 bill.
Keep the showgirls. Keep the Vegas fun. Lose the intimidation.
What do you think — does Clark County need clearer rules for the Strip photo hustle, or are the existing laws enough?
