Few things mi ponder about:
Who among the accused is expected to testify next, or is Mr. Puot Kang the only one required to respond to questions regarding the charges brought against them?
If that is the case, when will both the defense and prosecution present their closing arguments, and what is the expected timeline between the conclusion of arguments and the delivery of the verdict?
Once the verdict is reached, will President Kiir need to endorse it, given that the judiciary is supposed to operate independently?
After the verdict is issued, will either party have the right to appeal to the Supreme Court, considering that this is a special court?
Any lawyer in the house, to help lay down the next steps to follow 🤔
While you are absolutely within your rights to act as you choose, consider also your duty to your country. As an airport serves as the first impression many international visitors have of South Africa, it would be wise to ensure that impression is a positive one, behavior that reflects poorly on locals could ultimately further tarnish the nation’s reputation.
But like you said, “every dog has its day”.
@NoSpinZA@al_varo777 This is a clarification issued by Cambodia is as attached. It seems a South African march & march member must’ve created this fake document and started circulating it on this unofficial websites.
Sometimes you need to get your heads out of your a*s, the statement clearly directed to all African Nationals regardless wether South Africa is mentioned specifically in it or not. Hell my country is not even mentioned in it but I understand the letter is directed to people from the continent.
Stop being naive, believing you folks are special. The way y’all act, thinking you are not Africans are simply stupid. Just because you have white people in your country as countrymen doesn’t automatically make you guys Europeans.
Truly, this country has produced some of the most useless people of the 21st century. Just think, instead of calling for stronger institutions, low prices of medicine, low fuel price, they chose to demand something completely useless as a privatized number plates.
I hope the government does not grant that demand, because it would open doors none of us want. Sooner or later, we'll start seeing license plates labeled 'Son of the President,' 'Son of the VP,' 'Son of the Speaker,' as well as 'Lawyer,' 'Civil Engineer,' 'Architect,' 'Businessman,' and so on.
@gingosamuel Bro, am telling you.
That was my last time there. I used to always get my car washed at that place, and while waiting for it to be done, I'd usually order a glass or two of tea.
Most local businesses, loose customers and they normally don’t assess why it happened.
@Lungz1ads1@l_ntsie@Sophie_Mokoena Since you’ve asked, you probably have an idea whether anyone from the group at the airport were detained and refused to board their flight.
Show me even just one person, who were detained and awaits to be charged of being illegally staying in SA.
Nah, your are been biased, it actually the only 10 that was found to be without legal status.
To depart a country through the immigration and passport control especially in airports, you need legal status otherwise you will be detained and charged. Mostly all those who have left did actually have legal status hence were given an exit stamp.
@Lungz1ads1@_Tee__G From what I’ve heard, it’s mostly those who already have legal residency status. This could be due to fear of what might happen, especially on or after the deadline set by South Africans for immigrants specifically those without legal status to leave the country.
If you attempt to leave the country without a legal status such as a valid visa, work permit, or lawful residence permit, you will most likely be detained, then brought before a judge who will formally charge you and issue a deportation order.
Therefore, when people queue at passport and immigration control to receive their exit stamp, it indicates that they have been legally present in South Africa prior to their exit.
