@BasedMikeLee As long as tax dollars are not used that would be a feature and not a bug. We don’t need high speed rail. People will fly. Heck, in half that time they may teleport for all I know.
@IncredPapist_@pontificatormax That may be so but some would argue to evangelize them where they are. Sadly it seems they’re just pointing them this way with the aid of NGO money sourced from unwitting tax payer dollars.
@pontificatormax@EndWokeness To answer the question, most use cross draft ventilation (windows open) in the evening and morning hours and fans. As well insulated as the houses are they are still stuffy and it is not unusual for many of the elderly to pass during heat waves.
I lived in Germany for a number of years and it is true. Now, many of the homes have incredibly thick walls and are well insulated but we had to use portable ac units. At my last house in the Stuttgart area we gifted our portable unit to a neighbor who was glad to accept it. Many believe air conditioned air is not healthy. Others are bought entirely in on climate change and are toughing it out for the cause.
You could make the argument that the ceiling could be higher or perhaps means testing for receipt which I think would screw me. They are going to have to tweak it soon or the benefits will be cut across the board as a matter of simple math. I do not expect any traction on the issue until it is at crisis with benefit cuts lurking.
@IterIntellectus@AbudBakri Do you think peptides can help me regain some range of motion in my knee after TKR or too late? I’m 2+ years post surgery and have <100 degrees. Would like to get to 120 so I can bike comfortably.
@TaylorRMarshall You know how it is. You are probably presented with various plaques at speaking engagements that, while well intentioned, just adds to you stuff you’ll never have room for.
