I’ve been to the sprawling tundra of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, where I fished Arctic grayling and Dolly Varden in glacial rivers and saw majestic musk ox traversing the terrain. Today’s oil & gas lease sale in the Arctic Refuge is yet another sell-off of our remarkable public lands. It’s our duty to protect life and the sacred land that sustains it.
BAM! Colombia has announced a historic ban on all new oil and large-scale mining projects in its part of the Amazon Rainforest, protecting an area roughly the size of Sweden. 🌿
Experts say the move could help protect one of the planet’s most important ecosystems—often called the “lungs of the Earth.” 🌎🌳
Nature is amazing. Protect it.

The Trump administration is moving ahead with plans to auction oil and gas drilling rights in Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
About 689,000 acres of the coastal plain are being opened up again. It is one of the most remote and environmentally sensitive wilderness areas in the United States, home to polar bears, caribou and migratory birds.
Drill baby drill!
You can't afford a house. So you rent.
Rent gets too expensive. So you buy an RV.
It's illegal to live in an RV. So you try to live in your car.
Still illegal.
So you end up homeless.
And it's illegal to be homeless on the street too.
America made every affordable alternative to a house illegal.
Then wondered why homelessness keeps climbing.
Janitor almost got fired after CCTV caught him sneaking into a gorilla enclosure.
The gorilla had been brought in after poachers raided her home, leaving her injured and unconscious before locals found her and helped send her to a sanctuary to recover.
For weeks, she didn’t trust anyone.
She would take her food, go straight to the corner, and eat alone like every person near her was another threat.
But security cameras had been catching something for days.
The janitor had been going inside her enclosure, sitting with her, talking softly, and showing her kindness through small gestures. He wasn’t forcing anything. He was just trying to let her know not every human was there to hurt her.
Nobody really noticed until the board reviewed the surveillance footage to check on her progress.
That’s when they caught him.
At first, they were ready to fire him for breaking the rules. But as they kept watching the footage, they realized something.
The gorilla wasn’t healing because of the enclosure.
She wasn’t healing because of the food. She was healing because she had finally built a bond with someone.
And for now, that was all that mattered.
In a groundbreaking social initiative, Albuquerque, New Mexico launched a program that pays homeless individuals to clean streets, parks, and public areas.
The idea was simple — offers work, dignity, and purpose instead of punishment or pity.
The results were remarkable: over 70% of participants have now secured permanent housing or full-time employment, transforming their lives and communities alike. The city’s “There’s a Better Way” program proves that compassion-driven policies can be more effective than traditional welfare systems.
🇺🇸TRUMP: "I've settled eight wars, actually nine, and now it looks like we could have 10."
🇮🇷IRAN: "This man actually started a war, lost it, and fools everyone by saying he settled it. Absolutely crazy.." 🤣
Fireflies spend the first 2 years of their lives underground. Lawn chemicals kill them.
During those early years in the soil, they're working double time dealing with your pests. They eat slugs, snails, earthworms and other soft-bodied insects.
The three biggest threats to fireflies are habitat loss, light pollution, and pesticides, pretty much in that order according to experts surveyed across 350 firefly researchers worldwide.
What actually helps: stop all lawn chemicals, leave the leaf litter in the fall, mow less frequently and higher, and turn off outdoor lights at night.
How are the fireflies doing in your yard?
So all of you guys who were in my comments last month talking about how food assistance should not include candy and soda but actual healthy foods, I suppose you’re going to call your members of Congress and the White House about this?
🚨 BREAKING: For the third consecutive time, the Arctic Refuge lease sale has failed to generate real industry interest. No major oil companies. No credible path to the revenue this administration promised.
When will this administration stop gambling with one of the most sacred landscapes on earth for a return that has never materialized, and never will?
