@elonmusk It’s sad that someone wasted time and money trying to hurt the reputation of an American hero. I know enough to understand the real story and the motivation of those seeking to villainize him, but sadly many don’t understand this and will believe this hit piece.
I had this happen to me on a flight from Atlanta to Dallas. The man next to me was so fat that we could not put the armrest down. He bulged halfway into my seat and immediately fell asleep for the full flight. I had the middle seat and luckily the woman next to me was kind enough to share her seat with me.
@MichaelLNeely@NutritionMadeS3@grok Haha… but you believe that cholesterol doesn’t matter, oatmeal is poison for humans, restricting sugar cures cancer, and humans have evolved to eat animals?
@wholemars This is similar to the OCC, when banks go to the regulator for approval of a business plan, process, or control, they don’t approve… they provide only a “non-objection”
@toddstarnes@mayorpaulyoung@elonmusk Tesla is not owned by Elon Musk. Millions of private citizens (stock holders in a public corporation), including me and Elon Musk, own Tesla.
My Tesla Model Y weighs 1,000 lbs less than an F150…. My $200 registration surcharge is about what the F150 pays in road use tax via gasoline purchases (assuming 15 mpg and 15k miles per year). The Tesla Model Y weighs the same as a comparable BMW 3 series. EV batteries keep getting lighter.
I go to China many times per year and travel all over. There is still spitting, but mainly the older generation 40-50+ years old. They do litter, but they have people whose job is to pick up garbage. The Chinese know that someone will pick it up. It’s the same as with the USA in the 1950s. They have open air markets where live animals and meat are sold. For a western vegan, probably a bit much for them to take. But, no worse than the rest of the world. I would in no way characterize the Chinese as barbaric.
@FutureAZA@teslasi Sure, but I think that matters very little. The Tesla knows all…. Where is the car stopping, who is getting out (ie, passenger), how long is the stop, etc. A ride-hail can be easily and accurately inferred. Cheaper than subsidized FSD and data available on the full fleet.
It was my understanding (confirmed by Grok) that the cars don’t need an FSD subscription to shadow. The software is running in shadow model all the time on all Teslas (not just HW4). The computer can compare what the driver does to what the FSD computer would do if it was driving. So, no need to offer discounts or for the driver to be using FSD.
No kidding…. I just mapped it on the Tesla trip planner from Memphis to Niagra Falls. It’s about 950 miles and about 13.5 hours without any stops and averaging 70 mph. Tesla had 8 charging stops, totaling about 2 hours charging in total. There is no way it would require an extra 6 hours for charging.
@PythonJim@RepSaraJacobs I realize that this is just a cartoon, but we need to make sure that folks understand it’s not a white versus brown/black thing. The fact is that the majority of ICE agents are non-white…. With Hispanics dominating the force in border patrol.
