💥MUST WATCH: Former officer @McLeanChronicle on the gang-related shooting at the Salsa on St. Clair festival, @MikeColleTo calling out the Liberal justice system, and failed gun bans. "These guys have been arrested before. Charged before. Probably [banned] from weapons before."
Toronto Police Chief just said it out loud, plain as day.
The vast majority 85 to 90% of traceable crime guns in Canada’s biggest city come from the United States. These are illegal guns in the hands of criminals who don’t have licenses and never will.
Not law-abiding Canadian owners. Not licensed hunters, sport shooters, or farmers who follow every rule.
Yet for years the Liberals have obsessed over banning and restricting legal firearms while the real problem, smuggled illegal guns, keeps flooding in.
This isn’t about responsible owners. It’s about criminals who don’t obey laws and a government that seems more interested in punishing the people who do.
After 11 years of this approach, Toronto’s streets tell the story. Time to stop the theater, secure the border, and go after the actual criminals instead of the guys who already pass background checks.
Legal owners aren’t the problem. The failure to stop the illegal flow is.

Here are the facts, as per @TWilsonOttawa:
▶️ only 8% of crime guns are recovered
▶️ of those less than 20% are traced
▶️ these numbers leave out ON & QC
▶️ these numbers include toys, air soft, replicas

Why the @WR_Record and @TheSpec chose to run a piece full of such misinformation is a bad look for media that already has such low trust from the general public.
🚨THIS IS WILD🚨
CBC's Rosemary Barton started out celebrating Mark Carney’s majority. Then a reporter called him “autocratic”… live on air.
Watch what happens when he backs it up with receipts.
The government argues that confiscating legally owned firearms improves public safety. This case suggests a different reality: during a single police traffic stop, four individuals were involved and three were found with illegal handguns.

The federal government’s so-called “voluntary” firearms confiscation scheme for retailers is set to re-open on April 23. Despite the language, there’s nothing voluntary about it—retailers are being warned that if they don’t comply and surrender their inventory of now-prohibited firearms by the end of the amnesty period on October 30, 2026, they could face criminal charges and the threat of jail time.
This is not public safety—this is coercion. Law-abiding business owners are being forced to choose between losing their property and risking prosecution for simply possessing firearms they acquired legally and operated responsibly. This heavy-handed approach does nothing to address crime and only punishes responsible Canadians.
The Canadian Shooting Sports Association stands firmly against policies that threaten livelihoods, undermine trust, and target the wrong people. We support real, evidence-based solutions to public safety—not government confiscation dressed up as choice.

WATCH: 🇨🇦 YouTuber @ZacharyMcR28365 caught up with Liberal House Leader @StevenMackinnon to ask him why the federal government is continuing to attack lawful gun owners, when the majority of gun crimes (over 90%) are committed with illegal firearms.
Here's what he had to say 👇
@AndrewLawton She's trying to delete/scrub this this a.m. here you go; I downloaded it knowing she'd try. So I'm ensuring it's reviewed/seen so Canadians can decide what the next step is
We’re reposting this in response to today’s press conference from Anandasangaree and Provost—because the claims around the so-called “ASFCP” don’t hold up. We’ve got the receipts to prove it.
Facts matter. So does honest information.

Liberal MP Nathalie Provost slams Conservatives and gun rights activists for spreading "disinformation" about the federal firearm 'buyback' program.
"Please help us stop that disinformation," she says.
Today’s press conference featuring MP Nathalie Provost and Safety Minister MP Anandasangaree highlighted the unraveling state of the Liberals’ firearm confiscation agenda. Provost, whose portfolio raises questions in itself ( Secretary of Nature?!), appeared frustrated and flustered as she attempted to defend a program increasingly met with resistance from Canadians.
False assurances about exemptions and compensation fell flat, and repeated claims were met with skepticism.
By the end, she was openly pleading for people to submit and cooperate - an extraordinary display that underscored just how much the agenda is faltering.
Widespread pushback from an alert firearms community - and relentless advocacy from groups like ours - has made pushing this program forward nearly impossible, especially considering how much deception it’s built on.
