Today, @HEBobiwine went to Kira Municipality, at the home of Counsel George Musisi for a visit.
As he left after the visit, crowds gathered, then police and the military begun to fire tear gas and other projectiles. A tear-gas cannister was fired onto his left leg, causing a severe injury.
The X-ray report shows there are some fragments from the tear-gas canister which are embedded in his leg, and a surgery will be conducted to remove them.

Police has released a statement saying he stumbled and fell as he entered his car, and that's how he got injured according to them. How ridiculous!!

This brutality is not only despicable, but speaks volumes about a decades-old regime, whose only language is violence towards peaceful citizens.
This chaos will end, and Ugandans will attain will their freedom!

Security operatives have made an attempt on the life of President @HEBobiwine. He was shot in the leg and seriously injured in Bulindo, Wakiso District.

This evening as our President returned from Bulindo in Kira Municipality where he had gone to check on one of our lawyers, Musisi George, the police and military under the command of one Twesigye surrounded our vehicles and started firing live bullets, teargas canisters and other projectiles. In the process, our President #BobiWine who was clearly targeted was shot in the leg. He is currently being attended to by a team of medical doctors.

This is yet another attempt on the life of our President by the Museveni regime!
