The steering group has been struggling for a while.

Between personal issues and other commitments affecting everyone on the steering group it's being proving harder and harder to deliver our members-only events on Zoom.

We are tentatively marking 2025 to come together and see if we can restart FSI and hopefully have the membership more involved along the way.

For now though we can't promise a comeback and we wouldn't like to mislead any of you.

Rather than extending our group's break/hiatus any longer and putting you, our members, even more in the dark we made the difficult decision to close the doors on FSI.

We tried to put a call out for support and in fairness we got some interest but the state of the steering group would have meant one existing member trying to induct a new steering group from scratch. It was all too unwieldy.

This article says around 70% of #asylum claims are granted on appeal. This sounds similar to the number of applications for #DisabilitySupports.
