So to yalls point it doesn't explicitly say "extract" but that's essentially what it's referring to. ICE which started this conversation has extract.

No apostle has come close to discussing green tea extract, and it's very intentional. It's a very grey area.

B. There was 0 intent, and it's the type of play that happens dozens of times a game. This play, two feet just happened to be in the wrong spot at the wrong time.
C. You really believe Balogun being allowed to play increases the chance of injury?

Personally I hope this sets the precedent and they start overturning more red cards this way.

@Deviates @JustinRYoung @kingharis Only reason they didn't take it away is because by their own rules/bylaws they technically have no way to do that. They DO have procedures and rules in place to suspend the suspension.

May be dumb but thems the rules.

@texasa2026 @NoahRiffe Agreed. Even if this meets the standard for a red card, id argue that the punishment is anticompetitive.

Fouls like this have 0 reason to affect future games. Basically getting suspended for bad luck.

If it's actually a bad foul, FIFA can add a suspension on a per case basis.

First time posting about soccer, but as a complete casual fan:

Whether or not a red card was the right call against Balogun,

It's ridiculous and pathetic that your team has to play a man down the rest of the game AND your suspended the whole next game
