🇻🇳 Police in Vietnam just busted a massive cat meat crime ring in Ho Chi Minh City, rescuing over 500 cats (400+ alive, dozens already dead on ice).

Dozens of stolen pets were reunited with their owners… but many didn’t make it.

Pregnant cats giving birth in custody. Heartbreaking.

This is a sobering reminder of the huge scale of Vietnam’s cat meat trade. Thousands stolen every month.

You saw the footage. (Otherwise) healthy dogs shot and dumped because they were no longer useful to the hunt. This is a constant fact of ‘hunting’. It’s unchanged since hunting was officially banned, hunt packs pivoted to ‘trail hunting’ which is just a smokescreen to allow them to flout the ban. And the dog killing continues. Three thousand every year, bred and killed by these people.

The Government is finally consulting on banning trail hunting. I've made my submission. Now I'm asking you to make yours. Still time left…. it closes on 18 June.

🐎 Nord : trois chevaux victimes d'une attaque gratuite, l'un d'eux gravement mutilé

Il y a quelques jours dans le Nord, deux propriétaires de chevaux ont découvert l'horreur. Un de leurs animaux gisait dans un fossé, couvert de plaies ouvertes, dans un état critique. Deux autres chevaux avaient été tagués dans leur champ de pâturage à Wallers, à quelques kilomètres de là.

Ce qui s'est passé est clair : des individus ont attaqué les chevaux au spray, probablement pour les blesser. Le premier cheval, paniqué, s'est enfui et a fini gravement blessé au fond d'un fossé. Les pompiers ont dû l'extraire d'urgence. Son état était désastreux. Plaies béantes, traumatisme sévère, pronostic vital engagé.

L'animal a subi une première opération d'urgence en clinique belge. Une deuxième opération l'attend. Il devra rester hospitalisé au moins trois semaines sous surveillance constante. Ensuite, suivront trois mois de repos strict en box, plâtré. Les vétérinaires ignorent si cet ancien cheval de course pourra remarcher un jour.

Les dépenses vétérinaires s'élèvent déjà à plus de 8000 euros. Les propriétaires ont porté plainte.

👉 La Fondation Brigitte Bardot dénonce ces actes barbares. Ces violences contre les animaux sont des crimes qui exigent des poursuites exemplaires.

She found herself in council pound kennels that give the dogs the legal 7 days only. She is in a mess. She is very lame and has a large boney lump on the inside of her hind leg. She is underweight and was covered in fleas!
She has undoubtedly been badly treated and is frightened of touch until she knows she will not be hurt.
She is just a sweetheart and we have kennelled her with another 2 lurchers who are helping to give her confidence.
We need to get her lameness investigated firstly and will update once we have a few answers.
