@cafreiman@toly Can you point to countries that have a more privatized / profit driven model than the US and also have cheaper more efficient health care?
My point is you can have the worldβs best genetics and if born into a very poor family it will still be an extraordinary uphill battle to become a doctor or corporate lawyer. Conversely you can be incredibly stupid with poor genetics and if born into a very wealthy family you are far more likely to become a doctor or corporate lawyer.
@phanari0te@NoahHradek@StatisticUrban Do you think that a large number of people born into wealthy families end up as janitors? If not is it because they made better choices than the people born into poor families?
@phanari0te@NoahHradek@StatisticUrban I never said everyone has the same choices I said within our system your choices are limited by your access to capital.
@phanari0te@NoahHradek@StatisticUrban The system we have means that the more capital you have access to the more choices you and your family will have in terms of career and ability to pursue those careers. That is not a natural force it is political.
@phanari0te@NoahHradek@StatisticUrban People are severely constrained by their economic situation they are born into. Everyone does not have equal choices.
@thegingerrrrrr@BobbyHillzr7r@hasanthehun We really did save the world. This is exactly what the citizens of such countries as Iraq, Libya and Afghanistan are always saying.
@blakeflayton Whatβs got you triggered little guy? Is that many of us native New York Jews and our grandparents identify with socialism and recognize Zohran is not only the best candidate for the city in general but also the best suited to fight actual anti semitism?
