@mvcmarlene@JalomeJerry @Jtheballfan @bk_2011_bk @luker350 @OPP_WR@HaldimandCounty I didn’t feel a high level of anxiety myself, but I know a lot of people probably did and I don’t think that’s fair or useful for the general population. I believe it can be improved.
@Wendyloo99 No idea what you’re talking about. Car in a ditch, shot a police officer who was trying to assist. There are few explanations - mental instability, under the influence or both. How that translates to racism is beyond me.
@polfootyfanatic @luker350 @OPP_WR@HaldimandCounty What’s absolutely “stupid” is thousands, potentially millions of people sheltering in place because of one (extremely tragic) altercation with an officer. We can be practical and respectful at the same time.
@mommayuke @luker350 @OPP_WR@HaldimandCounty I actually didn’t realize that amber alerts were only specific to child abductions. It was just heavily associated with the sound of the alert.
@Wendyloo99 They were clearly jumping to conclusions and were likely under the influence and probably knew they would soon be in trouble. Why else would they have fired? Use common sense.
@Wendyloo99 Wendy. Everyone’s opinion is moot. Mine is that these alerts aren’t useful. I intend to follow up with reviewing data when it becomes available but for now I am entitled to express my opinion.
@Wendyloo99 I’m not professing to be an expert in emergency response. I just don’t agree with the alerting system. Can you handle someone having a different viewpoint from your own?
