@BerniesBytes @RichardDutchy@MBAAAU18 I think that’s a bone of contention. Asking kids to already go out of comfort zone to go to Thompson, is a far diff’t animal than paying 2-3x as much, and 800 km away from family. I know that’s feasible for a few families in NorMan that already do that, but for 90% unattainable.
@RichardDutchy@MBAAAU18 Clearly you may not know our demographics. Many of the talented U15s go to academies. Others develop. Nunavut comes down in U18. Some U15s come back to region for NNS program. Can’t use U15 as gauge, I don’t know if they’ve had a season with more than 10 wins ever.

As talks swirl around dismantling U18 AAA programs in Rural & Northern Manitoba. The U15 NorthStars & @parklandaaau15rangers stand together.
We travel some of the longest distances, spend the most on travel, because we love this game.

I invite all northern groups to have their voices heard on this issue. Feel free to share your own posts with the above hashtag. Also, should you feel like writing a letter, you can find the contact information for their Executive here: https://t.co/wHw2HlMA1x.
For me one of the biggest reasons to #SaveRuralAAAHockeyMB is that our love for the game is not any different than anyone else's in larger centres.
Cont’d….

We have the most diverse group of players in the province. Perhaps, even in Canada. We literally live reconciliation, and not just talk about it when it's trendy.
