Biodiversity is the variety of life on Earth — from plants and animals to tiny microorganisms — that keeps our ecosystems healthy and resilient.
Yet habitat loss, pollution, and climate change are pushing nature to the brink.

UPDATE 🇳🇬🚨: Oyo School Kidnap – Abductors release second video showing a nursing mother pleading emotionally for rescue after being cornered inside a reserve forest.
VIDEO: Principal of Community High School, Esinele, Oyo State, who was k!dnapp€d alongside some students and teachers on Friday morning, 15/5/2026, has made a plea from captivity, appealing to the Federal Government, Oyo State Government, CAN, and Nigerians at large to come to their aid.
Urban areas cover less than 1% of Earth’s land but house over half its population.

Fellow Nigerians, good morning.
I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you.
Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances.
We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal.
More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism.
We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power.
Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise.
Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them.
However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building.
Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated.
And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions.
There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline?
Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from.
Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all.
A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO
When I first saw the video clip of Governor Monday Okpebholo threatening Mr. Peter Obi not to enter Edo State without his “permission”, I genuinely thought it was fake — perhaps one of those AI-generated videos or a poorly written skit.
But it’s now clear it wasn’t fake. The Governor hasn’t denied it, no spokesperson has disowned it, and it’s been reported on credible news platforms. So, we must assume it was real — and that’s deeply troubling.
Edo people are known for being warm, open, and hospitable. We welcome visitors. We don’t chase them away — much less someone like Mr. Obi who came to make a modest, generous contribution by donating ₦15 million to an educational institution in our state.
Let’s be clear: Mr. Peter Obi does not need anyone’s permission to visit Edo State or any other State for that matter. Not now, not ever.
Perhaps Governor Okpebholo should focus more on governing in a way that earns him the kind of love and connection that Peter Obi enjoys amongst the people — the way Mr. Obi has consistently done through his exemplary leadership.
That this ill-judged threat came on the eve of Mr. Obi’s birthday — a day Obidients across the country are marking the occasion by giving back through acts of service — only highlights the Governor’s poor sense of judgement and timing.
On that note, Happy 64th Birthday to @PeterObi — a man whose leadership inspires millions, and whose presence in Edo will always be welcome, regardless of the threats from those who see your impact as a challenge to their own inadequacies.
💢I AM SO IN LOVE WITH KEMI BADENOCH 😂🥰🥰
SHE IS CAUSING THE TEARS OF THE POLITICAL HOODLUMS, THEIR POLITICALLY CORRECT/,CORRUPT MSM IN NIGERIA AND THE WRETCHED SOCIAL MEDIA BANDITS TO OVERFLOW ENDLESSLY 🤣
✍️Kemi is PROUDLY Yoruba, and can trace her Yorubaness back 400 years. She is BRITISH,and don't want anything with you very CORRUPT N1GER1A and her satanically corrupt political ruiners
✍️Your current President, on records, once said he does not believe in one Nigeria . Today, he is your President..
✍️The daura bubonic plague , who totally ruined and devastated Nigeria , before Tinubu took over in 2023 , made no pretences at all, that his allegiance was more with his caliphate north and Niger Republic his kinsmen...He even demonstrated it practically, by squandering a princely sum of $1.9bn to do rail project into destitute maradi, Niger Republic, when there is no West to East rail link [ the most viable rail routes in West Africa]
✍️Can we all stop pretending and focus on the truth and reality of our current situation, that Kemi is bringing up to the front burner.
✍️Honestly, and sincerely, the activities, actions, corrupt games of the political class over the last 25 years, actually show a group of bandits , who do not actually believe in Nigeria
✍️Over the last 25 year, it is estimated that over $300bn has been looted and ferried out of Nigeria
✍️Kemi by the Privileged position she has occupied in the UK government over the last one decade, may be privy to records of the properties, assets and funds,, these political destiny ruiners, stashed away in the UK...
✍️She is so angry with them , and dont want anything to do with these bunch of looters and hoodlums masquerading as leaders .
✍️Kemi would have been very proud to identify with Prime Minister Tafawa Balewa, Dr Michael Iheonukara Okpara, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Dee Sam Mbakwe, Alhaji Lateef Jakande etc. If they were here with us today as leaders ..
✍️Why can't we all individually and collectively look into the mirror, repent of our wicked ways and fix our land ...rather than keep grandstanding on empty " patriotic" rant in ghaghaghaness
✍️Most of you attacking her , are just trying to sound woke .... You know in the deepest recesses your hearts that Kemi stated the undiluted truth...the truth most of you are cowardly scared to voice
Take a deep hug 🫂 and roses my dear Kemi
