Before Neil Armstrong could take his historic first steps on the Moon, NASA first had to master the techniques that would let an astronaut safely exit a spacecraft in space.
On June 3, 1965, Gemini IV pilot Ed White made that first step with the first American spacewalk.
@Coach_BillBusch I forgot to push send on this last week. So sorry to hear about Fonz, she was one of the good ones for sure! We need another Vegas trip too!

I put the 2 biggest locomotives in the world up above Interstate 80 in Omaha, how's that for a resume? Im easily worth a milly salary a year.
Coolest sound ever! I heard/felt it come across the water in Titusville Florida, with Doc Simmons from the Henry Doorly Zoo!

Construction of NASA's Nancy Grace Roman space telescope was completed in December with the goal of launching later this year. This isn't just "another" telescope. It is special not only because of WHAT it can see, but how MUCH it can see.
The Hubble and Webb telescopes were built for depth and detail, but Roman is built for speed and breadth (seeing lots of the sky quickly). Its 300-megapixel camera can capture regions 100 times larger than Hubble's field while still maintaining sharpness. Roman will be able to hunt huge areas of the sky for new objects, like galaxies or exoplanets, and then Hubble and Webb can be used to zoom in for a closer look. Who knows what we will find!
