Trying to document at least once a day for everyday of my MSW at the University of Southern Indiana. Graduate Assistant in the SwISTEM Resource Center.
Day 383-385: I’ve been down for the count with strep throat since Monday night. But it doesn’t matter when you have sweet friends like this one.
@katfisch16 ❤️❤️
Day 379: My Mom always tells me that what I’m doing now (school, internship, multiple jobs) is way harder than anything I’ll do later in life. Idk if it’s true, but I’ll believe her because it helps me get through days like today.
Moral of the story: not having certain push notifications on my phone makes me feel different and good and more whole. So try it. Or don’t try it. But it’s a good personal self care tip that I’ve learned that I wanted to share. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
And weirdly I feel very liberated because of it. I should also say that I actually don’t receive any push notifications for any app because I think it kind of stresses me out or makes me feel like compulsion to check whatever it is.
@MajaSocialWork@UBSSW Always go the extra mile when you can and when you’re able. It will pay off every single time.
Also I’m a second year MSW student! If you need anything, feel free to reach out!
Day 320: At my internship today one of the women I work with (whose last day is today) came up to me and said “You are so smart and talented. You’ll always find work. You will definitely always work if you want it.”
Her kindness and ability to empower inspires me so much.
