Been at ESPN a long time - this one was an all timer. Before social media, it was as viral as a story can be. I watched it on a tape in the news room. I couldn’t stop watching his teammates.
Jaden Ivey on his DNP in last night’s game against the Raptors:
“I’m not the same player I used to be. That’s why. I’m not the J.I. I used to be. The old J.I. is dead. I’m alive in Christ no matter what the basketball setting is.”
Gilbert Arenas says that LeBron James breaking down in tears during the Cavaliers' tribute video happened because it was the first time in a long while that he's received genuine celebration and praise amid this current era filled with negativity for everything he's accomplished.
And just like that, he was gone.
I can confirm Mintzy is heading to the mansion and asked “is there food there?” on the phone call.
I am staying at the water park until my flight home later this afternoon.
This story is now complete. Thank you all for following along.
I wanna say something about Philip Rivers.
He hasn’t played football in over 5 years, he steps up in a role we have never seen. Coming into this job and immediately playing against the best defense in the NFL.
The next week having to play against the other hottest defense and offense in the NFL, in the 49ers. He managed to be the best player on the field tonight for the Colts, as a 44 year old that just took the job.
This story will always be remembered by me as a die-hard NFL fan, he played his heart out.
