@Jonharper70bd Absolutely! I love this concept and want to learn more. Being able to differentiate with this in mind is something that is of interest to me.
Cognitive load theory is often discussed but not always deeply understood. Building on a previous conversation, I spoke with Dylan Wiliam to further explore what it explains and what it does not.

Powerful statement...and one that our political leaders do not want to really address. How are we using our power?

@NEWSMAX@RogerMarshallMD@SharlaMcBride@marc_lotter This is so inaccurate. It’s not competition, it was a standard. There is a huge difference. It’s too bad elected leaders do not recognize this.
I love the approach towards a standard. That sets a bar that creates self efficacy rather than creating winners and losers.
Lowering the standard isn’t compassion, it’s pity. And pity says, “You can’t.”
Real compassion says, “I believe you can… so I’m holding the line.”
Because lowering the bar doesn’t lift anyone up.
@RogerMarshallMD@realDonaldTrump What legislation have you proposed that delineates how this would work? Aren't you one in a position that could move this forward if you feel so strongly?
Nothing but theater...
@nntaleb I agree with your post. What structural changes would you recommend to be consistent but deal with the issue?
I have long felt that the exploitation of people in the manner it has being done is worse than slavery on some levels.
