The change of the Sabbath from the Saturday to the Sunday shows us the Gospel & the covenant of grace. Covenant of Works: Work first and rest follows (last day of the week). Covenant of Grace: You have Rest in Christ as a gift (1st day) and work in his strength follows.

Nor did the apostles try to impose OT law on the state.

They preached the gospel and built churches.

Put not your hope in law.

@HarpazoDynamo @PresbyInn I would do more reading on the Anabaptists and the Reformation. It's not as simple as you describe it. Some (not all) were actually heretics as the movement was very broad and theologically divers. A good start would be Nick Needham's (baptist theologian) books on church history.

@HarpazoDynamo @PresbyInn You don't know the history, my friend. Who put them to death? Why exactly (not infant baptism alone)? What was the Historical context? Was it a time in which the death penalty was normal (a bit extreme at times - but we are extreme at the other end)?
