Isn't it ironic how people complain about the "lightshow" that only lasted around 9 seconds, even ignoring the fact that even those lines were animated well. Putting the godly OST aside, what's the purpose of this childish hate lmao
Yoichi Isagi is the best protagonist Blue Lock could've asked for.
What makes Isagi special is that he isn't a genius, doesn't have a tragic backstory, and isn't driven by revenge or an obsession with another player.
He just has a pure, raw, unadulterated love for football. It's simply his innate desire to be the best striker in the world.
While others chase people, Isagi chases growth. He constantly reflects on himself, adapts, and pushes beyond his limits, even in the middle of a match.
And when his teammates fall behind, he doesn't comfort them. He destroys them mentally and forces them to crawl back up.
Isagi's only "rival" is the striker leading the match. They become his next target to devour as he seeks to claim their throne.
One of the best new gen protagonists.
Blue Lock has the best art style in all of sports manga and top 5 in all of manga history.
The quality never drops. Week after week, chapter after chapter, the consistency is unreal.
@nomnii is one of the greatest artists.
And these panels are from the most recent match.
@superanasss@imnotmicahbell@raoufimpact you can lose the battle but win the war. they never lost anything yet, if anything this whole thing will help them evolve.
@Cfc_DiggaD@Jeidisyfm@TheAcePhoenix@superanasss Also I'm sorry but if you're expecting it to be fully filled with real life football elements in blue lock then don't read the manga. There's so much dumb stuff no one complains about. Be for real now lmao.
@Cfc_DiggaD@Jeidisyfm@TheAcePhoenix@superanasss Yall should know by now know it's more about the ideas and philosophy behind it lmao. Isagi was offered a role to choose for "destiny" and even though he couldn't do much in the match he still proved hugo's philosophy wrong, whether it be luck or not.
Isagi spends 90 minutes battling Hugo, gets abandoned and called trash, finally finds a solution…
Just for Rin to suddenly awaken after ghosting all game and steal the moment?
Kaneshiro really needs to let Isagi succeed or fail on his own, stop forcing Rin into everything.
Okay, in this quick thread I'm going to explain my perspective on this match and especially on the current status of the project in relation to Japan's future
Let's talk about Rin and Isagi, the two sides of Blue Lock project
Hence the term "destiny" in the next chapter, potentially
Ultimately, it was Blue Lock’s destiny
To loose here, not through defeat against Hugo or Loki, or even the ideology of "Number Two," but simply losing to what Blue Lock has created itself
Thank you Kaneshiro for this
Japan has to lose and can't even tie because France is the best
People get so blinded by the New Gen 11 and other labels that they treat the manga like a spreadsheet of stats instead of a story about accelerated evolution
The entire Manga is about Mid-Match Awakening Man !!
