I'm sorry didn't your government try to find cause to fire an outspoken Paramedic because you didn't like the fact that he was questioning your government, and shining a light on the corruptcare scandal? @TheBreakdownAB
Rob and other UCPers say “let Albertans have their say on important issues!” But THEY (the UCP) picked the issues and the questions. A tiny minority of Albertans wanted a vote on separation. And NO Albertans asked for any of the other nine questions.
Trump thinks climate change is a “hoax.”
He’s dangerously wrong.
Millions of Americans have recently experienced record-breaking heat levels.
Thousands have died across the world.
We must take on the greed of the fossil fuel industry, and transform our energy systems NOW.
“The Premier ran last election on a ‘Public Health Guarantee,’ repeatedly promising that her government would not delist any medical procedures from public funding and that no Albertans would have to pay out of pocket to access care. Yet here we are."

This referendum will cost nearly $180 million. Today we learned that premier Danielle Smith and the UCP spent $300,000 on a Toronto based firm to create a one-sided biased website to try and get the result they want.
They could’ve spent this money on healthcare, education, or reducing your cost of living. Instead, they spent it on promoting their extremist ideas and their extremist friends. Albertans deserve better.

“Fuck your fascist pancakes!”
Smith got called out hard at today’s pancake breakfast for putting AI ahead of Albertans and appearing on a separatist podcast.

Danielle Smith is forging ahead with an anti-immigrant / refugee / TFW referendum because it pleases her political base.
Yet on May 27, 2024 she admonished PM Trudeau for not sending to Alberta more immigrants / refugees and TFWs.
Opportunism doesn’t age well.

The oil industry and their political allies have been successful in making questions like this seem like heresy in Alberta. But political spin, no matter how effective, can’t change reality. We’re at a moment in our history when we need honesty. Sadly, that’s in short supply.
.@AbDanielleSmith pleas be honourable and stop misrepresenting me and the #ForeverCanadian movement.
You say direct democracy is important to you, yet you chose to ignore a question approved by 456,000 Albertans and you composed your own misleading question. You own it.

**ATTENTION UCP Caucus, and Staff:**
As you may be aware, the Select Special Committee on Electoral Boundaries meets today from **2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.**
As you work to rig the next election by redrawing Alberta's electoral boundaries to your advantage, we'd respectfully ask that you wait until **at least 4:01 p.m.** before sending out your pre-written press release.
We understand it was probably drafted weeks ago, but perhaps this time you could at least pretend the commission's work, and democracy, matter.

1/3 Electricity is an enabler of the economy. Alberta needs a modern grid that can handle new, diverse energy supply to power every part of our economy and create jobs in Alberta.
So the Premier lied to Corb Lund, and to all of us, when she claimed she didn't change the law to benefit her separatist friends.
This is a must-listen, especially for anyone who still believes the Premier cares about democracy or letting Albertans decide anything that falls outside her own political agenda.
Over 200,000 Albertans came out and signed a petition saying no coal mining on the Eastern Slopes. Now the Premier says it's too late to put the petition question to a referendum.
For months, the Premier changed the rules for the separatists. Their signatures weren't even validated. The court said their petition was unconstitutional. But the Premier gave her separatist friends their referendum anyway.
But when it comes to coal mining on the Eastern Slopes, suddenly there's all these rules. Suddenly it's too late.
This is hypocrisy.
Alberta's New Democrats have always been clear: no coal mining on the Eastern Slopes.
It would be a good time to remind ALL Albertans that this Premier and this government does NOT have a mandate for what they are doing to fair and equitable HC Access.
They ran on a Public Health Guarantee.
The Premier lied, and simply cannot be trusted.
Premier Smith cites an Elections Alberta deadline for keeping Water Not Coal from a 2026 referendum.
However, she seems poised to disregard an Elections Alberta deadline in order to redraw electoral boundaries for the next election.

The first paragraph in this highlights it all…
Smith will say whatever a person wants to hear face to face. She thinks she’s playing 4 dimensional chess, but that ain’t what it is…
She’s just being disengenuous and manipulative.
