@bsmolka@jcalvinmeyer Why shouldn't it belong in print? What's wrong with context? Wouldn't you want to know if a player was robbed 4 times or if he had 4 weak groundouts? Both 0-4, but very different paths to get there. You're doing your audience a disservice if you only look at box scores.
@KenWeinmanSport The anti-analytics discourse related to the O's' struggles is pretty lazy analysis. The Rays, Dodgers, Guardians, Yankees, & Brewers are considered some of the most analytically-driven front offices in MLB. The O's have a lot of issues, but "ignore the data" isn't a solution.
@awfulannouncing Fans overwhelmingly don't like the picks getting spoiled (hence Schefty conceding to the complaints a few years ago). Crazy that @PSchrags has to defend himself on this
@IA1057TheFan This show/account has allowed JLC's vitriol to poison the overall perspective/direction of the program; it's a really tough listen most afternoons. Constant complaining, nitpicking, and flat-out nastiness -- often feels personal. I guess negativity gets more clicks...sad to see.
Always so interesting watching the O's and listening to @realbenmcdonald break down pitching posture and nuances. I routinely learn new things, such a pleasure!
