@FellaHrx69 This is from the Mexico City Metro in Jan 2024. Saw these ads all over the city. Russians have been trying to influence LatAm since the Soviets
@chemdawgrei @greganywhere @yFactr@orenbj Normandie is only a little bit closer to Western than a Crenshaw station would be but with like 5x the density. It’s the same distance between Pershing Sq and Civic Center. Nbd
Heat islands are NOT along the coast nor are they where the tallest buildings are (i.e., downtown).
In San Diego, heat severity is a result of sprawling single family neighborhoods, their roads, parking lots, and other pavement.
Coastal density is pro-environment and humane.
@0xce42@haylow77@metrolosangeles The D line was never intended to go north through the Sepulveda pass. It’s planned as a separate line, which was recently approved to move forward as a subway by the board: https://t.co/drDp49P4Fd
@haylow77@metrolosangeles Pretty much every developed country saw delayed timelines for projects started before the pandemic. 3 years behind schedule isn’t great but it’s not the end of the world.
@proformadjusted@urbenschneider 71% of LA county voters passed funding for this project in 2016. What does this have anything to do with Karen or Gavin? Bot
@thmsonline Hate to be that anti-golf guy but I’d be curious to know how much more or less $ could be generated by just building dense developments with an adjacent park onto these golf courses, much like Riverwalk is doing
@Colin_d_m Lot of conversation in the discord about it atm, but mainly: turning off pop movement and train animations causes your actual revenue and ridership to collapse. So there's no way to play the game without running full animations, making it basically impossible to run w/ large maps
@villainpolitix @hutchinson @NewAugustD @SillyWizardDawn Growing up is realizing everyone secretly agrees with you and all it takes is to ban every party except the one you just so happen to like the most
@Keptopolarbear@jake_gotta@tamarah67@Tmonie4eva Or maybe you just live in a country with over 300 million people and it turns out not everyone agrees with you? But I guess it’s more trendy to blame the “establishment” or whatever
