In Les Miles' last 3 seasons, OSU went 24-16, and had gone to the Houston Bowl, Cotton Bowl & Alamo Bowl in consecutive years. We had played Southern Miss, Ole Miss, and Ohio State in those games and beat OU in both 2001 & 2002.

OSU was winning, and the stadium was already being built. In fact, the South side of the stadium had already been done with Suites and Club seating.

Mike Gundy took over a building and a growing program that had a LOT of excitement around it. Heck, some fans are still upset that we lost a coach to LSU, which says a lot about the direction of the program at that time.

It's frustrating that, still, many OSU fans think that Coach Gundy pulled us out of the depths of bottom-feeding, and without him, we would have forever been bottom-feeders. Because that's not true, not at all!

In fact, I think one could argue that he left the program in worse shape than he found it. Although there are too many factors that go into that to make it anything other than subject to each individual's opinion.

Take whichever stance you want on that, and, yes, there is a certain amount of "dig" to those words, and that sucks because we ALL enjoyed and appreciated everything he did for OSU. He's the greatest coach we've ever had, but I really hope our fans can move on and give the next guy a "real" chance to build.

OSU is a VERY good job!

If Donors want the best ROI, I hope they stay out of Chad's way and let him do his job, because he WILL deliver. I hope they support whoever is chosen, and not who's on their agenda.

Chad is VERY connected in the College Ranks, and he knows what a good coach looks like, and he knows what OSU needs and how to sell it. And, I can tell you that his confidence in OSU finding a GREAT coach is real and it IS VERY high. And, OSU fans need to share that confidence and keep doing what we're doing by showing up and giving the best presentation we can.

There's a reason why he tweets out thank yous for the crowd, because it makes his job of selling OSU that much easier.

We need to do that for EVERY one of the remaining home games!

I can't tell you how much of a "sleeping giant" that makes OSU look like to other coaches, even if we're getting our brains beaten in on that particular Saturday.

Having said all of that, I'll be just absolutely shocked if Chad and the Committee don't hire a tremendous coach that's gonna hit the ground with his hair on fire and make this a place kids wanna play.

I'll be SHOCKED if he doesn't find a coach that will get OSU fans totally pumped about next year and beyond. And, I'll be shocked if he doesn't find a coach that makes OSU a GREAT brand of football!

He is confident enough to bet on OSU, and so am I! #gopokes #okstate

Its purpose is to get players a piece of the pie from the actual revenue being made from games and guarantees smaller colleges the opportunity to pay players through revshare

But I hope the the other schools don’t give up hope because hope is maybe the hardest thing to find again once it is lost. And my hope for the current coaching staff to succeed is indeed lost.

@PistolRick @BP_State He actually has said it many times. He had all but shunned Gundy and had always been very critical of his work. Big part of why they put him in the ring second to Barry to try and bring him back around to the program after basically swearing off Oklahoma state due to Gundy
