Also, was anyone else bothered by the queer baiting in Bohemian Rhapsody? I totally agree that it was clear he was gay, but the audience already knows that going in, and instead of showing him explicitly kissing or touching a man it's a lot of longing gazes, implied m/m sex, etc

I watched a documentary called "Do I Sound Gay", which centered around the idea of 'gay voice' and the linguistics behind it but, it also made me sad because the protagonist, a gay man, had a lot of internalized homophobia bc of his 'gay voice' #TSUQueerTheory

While reading Kafer's essay, I remembered a time in elementary school where we wore a blindfold and were told to try and pour a glass of water to empathize with people who are blind. Even then, I didn't really understand how this gave me a better understanding of blindness
