BREAKING: The Maryland Supreme Court will hear BACC's appeal in the case of Bethesda African Cemetery Coalition, et al. v. Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County.
This is a HUGE victory for BACC, the descendant community, and our ancestors.
Onward to victory!
We have been fighting for 8 years to end this racist and criminal desecration. Our vision is a memorial & museum to engage our community on the history of Moses Cemetery & the River Road community.

Yesterday, Maryland Delegate Lorig Charkoudian and Congressman Jamie Raskin visited Old Moses Cemetery. Countless Africans were dumped in the plot by European enslavers.
Today, the plot is being desecrated by developers & Montgomery County. Over 200 bones have been recovered.
On June 19th BACC is hosting our yearly Juneteenth celebration at Moses Cemetery (next to 5214 River Road) from 2 - 5 PM!

Did you KNOW that Jimmy Carter campaigned on National Health Insurance? Ronald Reagan snickers in the background in the 1980 Presidential debates when President Carter mentions it.
IF Carter won, the response to AIDS might have been a RESPONSE.
Some shocking revelations of political influence here at West Virginia’s NPR station. A state as rich in natural resources as it is poor in residents’ personal wealth needs aggressive media coverage.
Photographer and #CalArts alum Gail Rebhan (@gailrebhan) reconfigures the ‘time-slicing’ quality of the medium with her first museum retrospective ‘About Time,’ running now through Sunday, May 21 at @AUMuseum_Katzen in Washington, DC. Read more at 24700. https://t.co/NJhpJsTFit
