A 12 year girl was brutally raped and murdered when she stepped out to celebrate a friend's birthday.

But Mahua Moitra's first instinct isn't to stand with the victim. It is to question the police encounter of the rapist.

Yet again, the TMC's priorities are on full display. More sympathy for the accused than for the innocent girl whose life was brutally taken.

In Mamata Banerjee's Bengal, rapists have always had a free run while victims and their families are left fighting for justice.
